Had a lovely lunch. As it was a sunny Sunday lunchtime it was very busy so glad we booked a table. My only criticism was that we ordered food and drinks at the same time but had to wait 30 minutes just to get our drinks. Accepted that food would take a while but would have been nice to have a drink while waiting.

For the second time in two visits, issues with timing of drinks delivery but more particularly the care when it comes to ensuring myself and my wife receive the correct alcoholic / non-alcoholic drinks which to me is as critical as someone with a food allergy. That apart, the food is exceptional and we never sending anything back apart from a very clean plate! We will continue to visit whenever we have the opportunity.

Normally excellent however breakfasts a little disappointing / average compared to other times. Asked for chilli flakes on my avocado and egg only to be told they didn’t have any and yet my husband had chilli flakes in his!?! Staff as ever were super.

I have visited Drifters frequently and always like to take family and friends when they visit us. I booked a table for brunch and requested a highchair as we would have a baby. We arrived and it was clear that they had been busy, as all the outside seats were taken. I was disappointed with the service and atmosphere: I had to wait a long time to enquire about our booking and where our table was. I was met by a very distressed waitress who didn't know where our table was and said "all the highchairs are out because we've been really busy". I was very annoyed with this as we had said in the booking that we needed a highchair and so argued that we should have one. The lady managed to find one (I think she took one off of another customer who hadn't booked) but acted as if this was my fault. We were then sat at the tinniest table, when there were bigger tables free but not cleared. The manner of the staff was awful, they kept moaning at each other and were not trying to hide at all the fact that they were stressed and busy, but at no point did anyone actually say to us "I'm sorry we're really busy today, the food may be a wait". We ordered drinks and the waitress did not let us order our food at that moment, she was clearly trying to stagger the tickets and said she would take our order when our drinks arrived. This would have been fine if we didn't have to wait over 25 minutes just for the drinks to arrive. I think this is a totally unacceptable wait time for 3 coffees and an orange juice. At no point during our waiting did anyone come over and say anything. Once we had our drinks and had ordered our food we continued to wait, worryingly after some time the waitress came over to confirm our food order and apologise (this is the first time anyone has said anything to us about the waiting or the busyness) for the wait. I then watched her re-enter our food order into the till and I have high suspicions that she had forgotten to put it through in the first place. Never the less the food came quite quickly after that. As previously mentioned I have eaten at Drifters many times and always think the food is of a high standard, unfortunately this time it lacked its usual excellent presentation and freshness. My sister's bacon bap was rock hard and I had cold toast. My boyfriend was extremely disappointed with this experience and said to me "well that was rubbish". I am upset by this experience as Drifters is one of our 'go to' places to visit with friends. Unfortunately after this experience I will be reconsidering coming and seeking alternative options in the future.

Staff were polite and happy to be there. There was enough staff too. The layout is spacious and food delicious. Not a huge menu but extremely tasty food. Starters like tapas and with huge flavour. We thoroughly enjoy this restaurant which is good for children Too. Thank you for a great evening.

Excellent food menu which is a bit different and of a high quality . Enjoyed the mains , dessert and drinks. Staff were very friendly and were more than helpful in making our two Labradors comfortable by giving them blankets to lie on and treats! Pleasant atmosphere too. Would recommend highly. Great food and great spot near the beach - worth a visit

Our second visit at Drifters, this time to celebrate our anniversary (girlfriend and I). Food was fantastic, and brought out very quickly, can’t recommend the chorizo enough! A really lovely place to enjoy food, drink and company

We've eaten here on a number of occasions. BTW, the staff weren't as attentive this time as they have been in the past, when they were busier. We wil, however, keep coming back as it's a great place to eat with good food and atmosphere.

Staff friendly, great atmosphere and usually excellent food here as been many times. For some reason, 2 of our mains were bought out at same time as starters. Pretty sure the burgers were the same 25 mins later with fresh chips. To be fair we didn't question at the time.im sure it was a one off.
