Such lovely and helpful staff. Had my sons first bday lunch there and everyone was so friendly and great with all the kids and the mayhem! Thank you.

We both ordered a Sunday roast a chicken & lamb cooked to perfection, very delicious. Staff were attentive & friendly. We willing be visiting again very soon.

As a couple , we request a quieter area, usually in the bar. I know you cannot always accommodate requests , but we were given a table right in the middle of a family party , so asked to move, which we did without any hesitation. The service is excellent, and the food was too with lots of vegetables and lovely beef. We will definitely eat here again.
There was an issue with their supplier so they had run out of 4 of the mains (no chicken burgers, no beef burgers, no steak and no lamb shank) which meant because of preferences and also food intolerances, that we couldn’t eat there for supper. These things happen I guess and the staff could not have been lovelier. They explained the issue well and were very apologetic. I guess what they could have done is offered a free drink or some sort of gesture to make up for our disappointment. It’s a great local pub but they do need to sort out issues like this as they would have lost a lot of income yesterday.
We were sat at our request next to the children’s area. Full of toys for little ones. We lasted three hours because our 20 month old son was so happy playing! This would never have happened had it not been for the toys! The food was lovely. My only complaint is that this room is in the old skittle alley. Should it be decorated to the same standard as the rest of the pub then this would have been a hit with the adults too!
Always a warm welcome. Excellent staff Great venue and great food Perfect for kids inside or outside Love the animals too! You can actually relax enjoy a glass of something without having to worry about kids, noise levels and entertaining them One of my favourite pubs in Bristol
Party of 5 including two young children 3 & 5. Service was slow but that was acceptable since it was a Sunday lunchtime and busy. The adult’s food was served before the children’s which was disappointing but we were not happy when the children’s macaroni cheese dishes arrived in dishes so hot that we adults could not touch them! I feel this is an issue that needs to be addressed before a child gets hurt The food was lovely as usual and the kids love the garden so we will go again
The staff were friendly and efficient . the food was fantastic and the kids loved the garden although the weather beautiful which always helps . The indoor play area has improved so much since last time ivisited ,it makes a real difference .
