As the longest-standing independent restaurant in Camberley, there’s something truly special about El Pic Tapas Bar. Showcasing the best of Spanish tapas, this town centre spot has been serving the lucky local foodies since 1991. Eclectic and vibrant, El Pic Tapas Bar’s menu is packed with delicious small plates to share, using only the best of the best in terms of ingredients and produce – in true Spanish style, of course. Not only that, but the wine and cocktail lists are as enticing as anything from the food menu, making this London Road haunt the obvious choice for an evening of delicious food, drinks and company. In true Spanish style, the name of the game at El Pic Tapas Bar is sharing loads of small plates and jugs of sangria with your nearest and dearest. Our advice? Roll with it and order up a bunch of plates and prepare yourself for a truly delicious time. Kick things off with some jamon serrano (air-cured ham), a bowl of olives and boquerones to whet your appetite nicely. Then, for meat lovers, we recommend the albóndigas meatballs smothered in a rich tomato sauce, pinchito moruno (tender skewered lamb) and pollo a la crema chicken, bubbling in a cream, garlic and tarragon sauce.
If you’re a seafood fan, well, you and El Pic Tapas Bar are a match made in heaven. This Camberley space cooks up an incredible array of fish tapas including gambas en guindilla made with deep-fried jalapeno peppers stuffed with king prawns and served with paprika sour cream, as well as lightly-fried calamari and a traditional tapas-style seafood paella. If you’ve got a hankering for veggie dishes, be sure to sample the classic Spanish tortilla made with potato, egg and onion, patatas bravas topped with tomato and chilli and the sliced aubergines drizzled with honey. Washed down with a jug of sangria, refreshing mojito or zesty margarita, you’ve got yourself a night to remember at El Pic Tapas Bar. You’ll find this Camberley restaurant in the town centre on London Road – be sure to keep an eye out for the desserts, too. You’ll thank us!
The food was amazing, the staff and service was amazing, the atmosphere and décor of the restaurant was amazing. Very impressed, will be recommending to all!
Great restaurant with nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. Also good value for money too. Definately recommend to others and will be returning myself.
Fantastic food, atmosphere and service! We had a brilliant evening and would definitely come again. All the food was spot on and tasted amazing.....Thank you!
Amazing food as per usual! The staff were excellent in helping with a Birthday surprise. Would recommend this place to everyone. A small hidden gem in Camberley
We have enjoyed the food every one of the few times we have visited El Pic. The atmosphere is very relaxed and with food being prepared individually and to order do not expect to be rushed, also it is likely that the different tapas dishes will be delivered over a period rather than all at once. All in all a casual dining experience with quality food and wine. The range of Tapas dishes meant a variety of foods could be shared by both of us.
Heard many good things about the El Pic Tapas Bar and on my first visit with my wife we enjoyed the food along with the décor. It reminded us of Denia in Spain.
I had a lovely evening yesterday. The staff were polite and friendly. You need to book as it is popular and very busy. You feel like you are in Spain rather than Camberley with the decor and ambiance of the place. The food was delish. I would defo eat there again.
Some elements of meal very good. Others not as good as has been previously. Felt somewhat rushed by way of service and way some dishes were cooked. Was a Saturday but despite having a 6pm table would expect consistency vs week visits. Also disappointed not to be welcomed in when arriving 10 minutes before opening whilst staff available and it being -2DegC outside. Fortunately the pub next door was happy to take our money for pre-drinks!
My first time visiting El Pic on Saturday 25th November. Excellent evening meal, it felt like we were actually in Spain. The atmosphere was great, the food was deliciously authentic and the staff worked so hard all night. Thank you El Pic, cant wait to come back!
Nice atmosphere, very friendly service, it was very quite for a Thursday night, but maybe because it was too hot to be inside... we found it a bit overpriced as the tapas were very small so we had to order a lot of them to keep our appetite satisfied. Also a small jug of sangria £17.50? Too much, given that there were barely any fruits or ice in it.
