Eclectic and vibrant, El Pic Tapas Bar’s menu is packed with delicious small plates to share, using only the best of the best in terms of ingredients and produce – in true Spanish style, of course. Not only that, but the wine and cocktail lists are as enticing as anything from the food menu, making this London Road haunt the obvious choice for an evening of delicious food, drinks and company. In true Spanish style, the name of the game at El Pic Tapas Bar is sharing loads of small plates and jugs of sangria with your nearest and dearest. Our advice? Roll with it and order up a bunch of plates and prepare yourself for a truly delicious time. Kick things off with some jamon serrano (air-cured ham), a bowl of olives and boquerones to whet your appetite nicely. Then, for meat lovers, we recommend the albóndigas meatballs smothered in a rich tomato sauce, pinchito moruno (tender skewered lamb) and pollo a la crema chicken, bubbling in a cream, garlic and tarragon sauce.
If you’re a seafood fan, well, you and El Pic Tapas Bar are a match made in heaven. This Camberley space cooks up an incredible array of fish tapas including gambas en guindilla made with deep-fried jalapeno peppers stuffed with king prawns and served with paprika sour cream, as well as lightly-fried calamari and a traditional tapas-style seafood paella. If you’ve got a hankering for veggie dishes, be sure to sample the classic Spanish tortilla made with potato, egg and onion, patatas bravas topped with tomato and chilli and the sliced aubergines drizzled with honey. Washed down with a jug of sangria, refreshing mojito or zesty margarita, you’ve got yourself a night to remember at El Pic Tapas Bar. You’ll find this Camberley restaurant in the town centre on London Road – be sure to keep an eye out for the desserts, too. You’ll thank us!
