Food for friends is Brighton‘s original vegetarian restaurant. Since opening in 1981 in the heart of the city amongst the beautiful historic lanes, Food for Friends has rapidly found many… well, friends. Each and every day they the Brighton landmark-restaurant serves a fine array of strictly vegetarian food that’s at the same time also both strictly mouth-watering and healthy. Just off the Brighton seafront you’ll be spoiled with wonderful mezze and molten choc pudding – among many, many other things. Please note that Food for Friends caters to all dietary needs, be it gluten-free or vegan. No wonder they were awarded Best Restaurant at the Brighton & Hove Foodie Awards.

Food for Friends is such a wonderful restaurant, we’re at a loss as to how to exactly laud and describe it. Let’s start this off in simple words: It’s a vegetarian restaurant. It has been one since its inception in 1983 – being Brighton’s first such restaurant. Food for Friends has quickly drawn love and sympathy from an avid base of food-lovers and critics alike, recently being awarded Best Restaurant at the Foodie Awards. It’s located just off the Brighton seafront, and you’ll certainly be amazed at the selection of home-made, succulent food they offer.
For starters, it’s always a good idea to choose a plate of Mezze, Mediterranean-style appetizers that are rich in taste and flavour. Go for a wonderful glass of wine and just enjoy Brighton’s clean air. For over 30 years now, Food for Friends have constantly been reinventing themselves, going from a youthful and energetic vegetarian place to a restaurant where a sophisticated ambiance makes you feel that you’ve come to exactly the right spot.
