Specialising in Ottoman cuisine, an exciting fusion of Central Asian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Balkan cuisine, Fora Restaurant is one of the best Turkish restaurants in North West London. Located on Circus Road, a short walk away from St John’s Wood Station, Fora Restaurant is decorated with traditional white table cloths and white-washed walls, creating a relaxed yet elegant setting to dine in. Kick your meal off with some pan-fried mussels cooked in a garlic butter and baked with cheddar cheese, or hummus karvuna (diced lamb fillet with pine kernels on a bed of hummus). On the main course menu you’ll find options ranging from hearty casseroles to charcoal-grilled meat and market-fresh seafood. Such a friendly welcome and excellent service - and even though we were only their for drinks and 'meze' they wer only too happy to oblige!
Great meal! Home made fish was delicious. I would definitely recommend it. The menu also has a great selection. The portion is also very good.
Excellent food and service second to none. Extremely good value will go back on our next visit to London. Staff friendly and drinks well priced. Thanks.
Good food, atmosphere and service, nothing to fault. Mixed meze starter has generous portions. Main courses from grills part of menu. Lamb Special, Chicken skewers (with salad requested, instead of rice & veg, accommodated without any fuss) and Lamb Kulbasti all very good. Berry fruit salad, and apricots, provided two lighter dessert options; also tried Turkish wine (red, blend of 4 grape varieties) for first time, good value.
Good menu choices, excellent food, friendly and accommodating staff. The outside terrace was appealing but spoilt by a very vocal and loud mother broadcasting everything she said to her toddler. She was really intrusive so the three of us opted for a table inside. All in all and in spite of the noise pollution on the terrace, a lovely evening. Will go there again for sure.
Lovely staff, who didn't read the reservation request and did not have the table ready for us. Couple of wrong orders, mainly resolved. Food was very good generally and quantities generous. Expensive for its type but not surprised given the location. Felt slightly hurried by the waiter, and not enough fresh water around for us, but these are minor quibbles. Overall a very nice lunch out for a diverse bunch of ages and tastes.
Our family had an amasing experience. Excellent food, beautiful environment, clean and inviting, most efficient and caring personnel. The music was delightful yet low enough so that we were able to chat comfortably. A place to go back to. Thanks. Ana Donaldson
This is a very friendly yet well run restaurant. The test match special menu is very good and very good value. Because of rain we arrived an hour early! No problem here we were shown to our table straight away and had an excellent lunch. Just like last time!
A welcoming environment with attentive staff. The food was well prepared and the portions of above average size . An excellent wine list as well as a comprehensive menu to suit all tastes. Would recommend to other friends and will certainly visit again myself.
It's delightful sitting in the outdoor but well shaded area on hot days. The food, as ever, was excellent - we can recommend the comprehensive "healthy menu" especially - and the service is friendly but unobtrusive.
