Lovely food and good service. Good value for money as went when it was 2 for 1. Highly recommended
Fabulous meal and great portion sizes; will be visiting again.
Very nice food and generous portion size. Friendly staff and a very clean good pub.
Lovely, good value food, with lovely staff, and good standards for covid19
Great service, great food and felt totally safe. Thank you.
Good carvery as usual have been many times never disappointed all food served here is very good we keep coming back. It is still quiet but people are returning everyone is still being very careful but The Fox have everything in hand.
Service was great as usual and the food was lovely
Food and service were amazing. Will definitely be back again
The carvery here is fantastic value for money. Excellent quality meat and all piping hot. Will be a regular visitor from no on!
We were shown immediately to a table with 3 chairs for 4 people so we helped ourselves to another as the waitress had walked off before we reached the table. We waited a good 15-20 minutes after receiving menus before we approached the bar incase we had to order there. To be told oh no wait at the table and a girl will come, we had already been doing this and no girl had come until I approached the bar. Tables a little bit too squeezed in for comfort really.
Lovely Pub, staff really friendly and welcoming, food excellent, cosy atmosphere, would highly recommend.
Considering it was the week before Christmas, the waiting times and noise were bearable. Carvery was outstanding and service good, even though the place was heaving.
Really enjoy the food here and I love the breakfast too
Friendly staff. Food fab the place looked so festive .haven’t been for many years. But will return soon xx
Friendly efficient service excellent quality and value of food at the carvery
Excellent service, excellent food, thoroughly recommend this establishment! Top drawer
Food was beautiful we had the mushroom rissotto and yummy puddings. The food was rather slow to be served though.
Fox is all about food, carvery is excellent value for money.Nice atmosphere.
The best carvery I have had in a long time
We had thai fish cakes for our starter, carvery and sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. All three were delicious. I would definitely recommend.
Another great Giles dining experience, really tasty beef and Turkey.
Excellent food and good service well worth a visit here
The food was very good but the service was appalling. Only two waitresses, who didn't know what drinks or food was available on the night. We had to wait 20 mins from ordering the drinks to them being delivered. Two of the four starters were unavailable, and there was only the carvery available. The usual menu was off!!
Really pleasant surroundings, attentive and friendly staff, excellent food, great.
Had a great night out with friends. lovely food and great staff
Great family meal for 8. Thought there would be slightly more choice on the 3 courses for £10 on the mains. But what we had was lovely.
The carvery was really good. But I wish they had updated the online menu, ie no bogof. After saying that it was still good value for money.
Service was very slow, had to ask for drinks after waiting over 10 minutes at our table, with no one coming to serve us, carvery and server was good, ordered a trio of ice cream for afters was giving a nut based which was not highlighted on the menu or anywhere else ,as I have a nut allergy if I didn't ask could of been dangerous, we sat and chatted after our meal,I had to ask after a long time for our table to be cleared of dessert dishes, wouldn't of mind slow service if pub was busy but it was empty
Second visit in around a week, lovely three course dinner with a great carvery, only slight downside was wine was not cold enough. Nice staff.
Went for the 1st time last Thursday and again this Thursday evening, great food and friendly staff .

Had a Great evening at the Fox. Food was excellent
An excellent lunch. Friendly staff and the food was great and great value for money.
Good food on carvery and lovely service with a smile!
Great Welcome, very helpful and quick service throughout by the staff. 3 courses for £10. Good choices all tasty and enjoyable. Second visit in 4 days won't be the last
Another excellent meal at The Fox and such good value. We all opted for the 3 courses for £10 deal. Starters were amazing, carvery was fantastic as usual and the desserts were spot on. Good service and pleasant helpful staff. Will be going again before too long.
Birthday lunch for a special 88th Birthday 🎂 It’s her favourite place for a carvery lunch.
lovely pub with great food and friendly staff we visit regulary
On this visit we were a party of six . Third visit for four of us, first time for the remaining two. For those of us who had been previously, we had had lovely food and were looking forward to the same again. This is a review very much of mixed views. Our booking was for 2pm and surprisingly for a Saturday was very quiet with only a handful of tables occupied. One party member had carvery which, as on her two previous visits, was exceptional. One member opted for steak ( previously only ever had carvery and was equally pleased with their meal. Two people had the gourmet burger, both said the burger was pretty bland and a bit chewy. My daughter left half of hers and I tried it too, and I have to agree with her. I had the scampi which was lovely, but the chips tasted like oven chips which I’m not a fan of. My big gripe though was that my meal was served on a board! The scampi was in a basket , chips loose on the board and the peas in a little pot . Try eating your peas out of a pot , they go everywhere , I think most of mine ended up on the floor . I couldn’t empty them onto the board, they would have been all over the table. Just what is it with serving meals on boards !! I opted not to ask for it to be plated instead as it would have been going cold , but this is something I would do in the future. The final party member opted for the chicken burger. Unfortunately this was served to him on a mouldy bun !! I know for a fact that brioche buns have a long shelf life so I really don’t know how old this bun was. It was sent back , the meal wasn’t replaced , the bun was just exchanged . The waitress apologised but there was no compensatory offer made , which wasn’t asked for or expected, but would have been a nice gesture. Three had dessert, two were happy with theirs but the third came with the wrong ice cream. On paying the bill, it was clear that errors had been made. The meal deals advertised on the menu hadn’t been applied and we were overcharged. It appeared the gentleman who gave us the bill ( and I’d like to think I’m wrong on this) could see there was a discussion going on about it but he disappeared over to the bar, leaving us to bring it to the attention of our waitress. She went to speak to him and returned with a new bill and a cash refund, saying it happened because he hadn’t sub-totalled the bill, but on returning home the bill is still wrong. After this experience, two say they wouldn’t eat there again, four of us will but just for the carvery.
