Very average, Staff behind carvery were rude, slow service then rushed us to leave! Maybe try not trying to cram so many people/tables in and be able to give better service

The carvery was excellent, just one tiny moan, there were no boiled potatoes to choose from.The Fox itself has come back to life again the staff are brilliant and friendly and the decor is really good.will definitely go back to try something off the main menu.

Brilliant food,service and atmosphere until suddenly music started playing and we couldn’t hear each other talk. The music isn’t necessary. People want to talk to each other.

Despite being really busy the food was exceptionally good. This was our third visit to The Fox and normally I wouldn’t choose a carvery as a choice for food but have to say the food here is really good.

Disappointed with the steak, didn’t seem like a sirloin, it was more like a rump when comparing it to other tables and also there seemed to be a curry flavoured coating on the underneath,

Very pleasant company, food was good but prices a little on the high side.

Food excellent, position of table right in front of bar awful, jostled on all sides as it’s the way through to carvery. Table not been there before. A victim of becoming too busy. Will think carefully about going again or recommending, which is a shame.

Carvery was definitely one of the better ones I've had. Decent staff and service. Would return. Reading some reviews I am amazed at how unreasonable some people are, during busy periods such as Xmas eve it's pretty normal everywhere to have to wait a bit longer for service! We also all make mistakes, be a bit more tolerant!

Excellent carvery and other good menu choices. The carvery had a very good choice of vegetables and everything was cooked to a high standard.Good meat portions.Can't comment on the desserts as we were too full to partake.The staff were really lovely and attentive to customers.

Cosy, friendly venue with good quality food, including a hearty and popular reasonably priced carvery

The cavery was very good. Certainly value for money at 5:99 for seniors. Far too many vegetables which looked very unattractive as people helped themselves and they became very messy looking, but they tasted good. Too small an area for the serving resulting in a long canteen like queue. The entire pub needs money Spending on it as it is very unattractive and has no ambience. Would certainly go there again for the meal but not for a urroundings or for a relaxing lunch

First visit, chose carvery had no complaints, will return soon.

Excellent food and a great atmosphere. Only issue was parking but it was at the height of lunch so understandable. Staff very friendly and welcoming.
