The staff are attentive and appear to value our custom. The food was excellent, as always.
Delicious food as always. The restaurant was busy but we were served promptly nevertheless.
We were welcomed upon arrival and our order for food was taken along with our drinks order, as we already knew what we would be eating. The drinks arrived very quickly. A seriously dodgy latte - over 2/3 froth - was replaced without question. The food was up to the good standard I have come to expect, with the exception of the baked potato, which I left as it didn’t taste good, maybe a change in variety.
Quick and pleasant place to visit and the service was great.
Service of food and drinks was good but, as often seems to be the case on quiet days, nobody was around when we wanted to pay and I had to go to the front till and wait for my particular waitress to come over. After receiving a customer service VIP voucher for a recent bad experience (the reason I wasn’t paying on their dodgy website), the waitress said I couldn’t use it with meerkat meals discount. I questioned this and when she checked I was able to use the compensation voucher. So, staff training is needed, and this is not the first occasion their staff have been wrong about validity of offers. The food was good, the food is rarely an issue, which is why I keep returning! Thumbs up to the kitchen staff!
My sister and I enjoyed mains of chicken and mushroom penne pasta and cajun chicken wrap. The portion sizes were generous and the dishes very tasty. The only place Frankie & Benny’s fell short was that they didn’t give us menus when seating us, which is a bit of an oversight at a restaurant.
The booking ahead worked fine. We were welcomed and seated upon arrival. The food was good. Unfortunately, we were left a long time with empty plates and our meal lasted 2 hours, which was for mains and desserts only, and this is too long with young children in attendance.
The food is always nice and good-sized portions, and doesn’t take too long to arrive at your table. Where Frankie & Benny’s falls down is in staff being aware of when you have finished one course and are ready for the next, or the bill. I guess this is down to under-staffing, as they do always appear to be rushing around.
We were very happy with the overall experience and food. It was easy to pay too, using the QR code on the table and their app.
2 out of 3 meals were great. Had to return first fish as it was undercooked. Replacement fish was ok but this had put a dampener on the night
