Gaucho Manchester sets out to make sure every one of their guests feels as though they’ve experienced a little piece of Argentina once they’ve left the restaurant. And not just in terms of food, but in terms of wine, culture and people, too. As such, each visit to a Gaucho steak restaurant is guaranteed to delight and has the potential to surprise, and you’ll find this particular restaurant in the city centre of Manchester, just off Deansgate on St Mary’s Street – a prime location by all accounts. Gaucho is group of restaurants with a heart, mind and soul. It proudly works with a number of international organisations and charities, and there’s a certain spirit shared by the entire team, from management right through to chefs and waiting staff. This much is obvious, particularly at this Argentinian restaurant in Manchester, as soon as you’re seated. As we said, you’ll find Gaucho Manchester just off Deansgate on St Mary’s Street. It’s an easily accessible spot at any time of day and whether your reason for visiting is a business lunch, a pre-theatre dine or simply a meal with family or friends, Argentine cuisine lends itself perfectly to any occasion.
Argentine food and wine are of almost equal importance at Gaucho steakhouse Manchester, and together they go some way in forming a rounded dining experience that is immensely popular in the centre of Manchester. The wine list is long, curated with care and contains varieties from all corners of Argentina. Meanwhile, to give you an impression of the a la carte menu, you can start with salmon tiraditos with mango, passion fruit and pomegranate, chopped chicken livers or a selection of homemade Argentine sausages. Beef is very much the star of the show when it comes to main courses and you can choose between fillet, rib-eye, sirloin or rump, then pair your chosen cut with an impressive selection of sides and sauces. Of course, non-beef options like grilled swordfish and lamp rump are available, as well as nourishing vegetarian options. Manchester’s Gaucho restaurant is truly sublime.
Delicious food, efficient and helpful service in opulent and clean surroundings. Highly recommend the Sunday lunch for quality and value. And the steaks for a treat!
Gaucho is a brilliant restaurant, the food is faultless and our son love it there. Amazing atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and efficient. Great service.
Excellent food and excellent service great experience would recommend to anyone I've been a few times and always had a great time hope to go back soon
Amazing service! Waiter was fantastic, couldn't do enough for us! He went out of his way to just go that little bit further for us. Great rapport!! Food as ever was perfect!!
The red wine was freezing cold. Which bearing in mind the bottle was more than £40, you would expect it to be at the correct temperature to compliment the meal. For my wife and I, who’s Birthday it was, this tainted the experience. We did bring it to the attention of staff, but we were informed that there was nothing they could do. We have been to many Gaucho all over the country, and on all other occasions, the wine was served at the correct temperature, adding greatly to the whole experience of a restaurant of this standard. We have never complained before, but although this is a small point, it is an expensive one to us, and ruined what would otherwise have been a perfect meal. The ice coldness of the red wine made it taste completely horrendous, completely undrinkable and a waste of over £40. I hope this is a one off as every other visit the wine has been fantastic. Perhaps some sort of acknowledgement from staff would have been appropriate.
Overall, great experience. We were greeted nicely upon arrival and table was ready straight away. The food and wine was lovely. The prices are very reasonable. The only negative is that it took them them about 10mins to take our drinks order and they weren’t good at topping up glasses. Especially considering how quiet the restaurant was. I wouldn’t like to think this is the norm.
Fabulous food (we had the beef sampler) which was too much so we brought it home and it is even nicer now! Attentive service without being OTT, lovely atmosphere. Only down side was that we were upstairs at the back, next to the servers. Front of the balcony would have been so much nicer and places were available as it wasn't peak dining time.
Had a very pleasant evening with good drinks/cocktails in the bar before being seated. Good service during meal but a slight delay on drinks being brought to the table. Food was good it’s all about the meat sides and starters aren’t great but the steaks are. Good night for special occasions a little too pricey just for a standard night out but was well enjoyed.
The most amazing steak I've ever had! We were having a treat, so chose the chateaubriand and we were not disappointed. Cooked to perfection and all the sides and sauces complimented but didn't detract from the fantastic meat.
Very special place for a bit of luxury dining. Fabulous food and gorgeous interior design. The waiting on team looked after us very well. I would definitely go again.
