Gaucho Richmond is without a doubt, one of the best places in London to sit back, relax and treat yourself. As well as caring about the community around it (and elsewhere in the world), being a genuinely enjoyable place to sit and being staffed by a team who are seriously passionate about what they’re doing, Gaucho also serves the finest Argentinian food and wine you’ll find anywhere in London. In fact, Gaucho aims to ensure every diner leaving the restaurant feels as though they’re taking home a piece of Argentinian culture to look back on and savour for days to come. This particular Gaucho restaurant is in Richmond on The Towpath (there are many others peppered around the traps), sitting stylishly right on the bank of The Thames, opposite Cambridge Gardens. With one of the best locations in London, Gaucho Richmond is a relaxed escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and is tucked away on the banks of The Thames. Situated on The Towpath, the space itself is inspired by a boathouse and boasts glass walls offering a picturesque view of Richmond Bridge and Petersham Meadows as well as a waterside terrace that’s idyllic for those warm summer months. Stylish and contemporary, this charming Argentinian restaurant is perfect for relaxed dining, special celebrations or date night with that special someone. Let’s just say there’s a whole lot to love about Gaucho’s Richmond branch.
So, what can you expect from the Gaucho Richmond menu? Well, to start all the beef is sourced from the Pampas region of Argentina and the quality is second-to-none. From the a la carte menu, we recommend starting with the seared scallops with chorizo picante; crispy soft shell crab; beef empanadas and salted beef crostini. Then, for us no visit to Gaucho is complete without steak. We love the lomo fillet which is tender and lean; the cuadril rump which boasts a distinctive flavour and the ancho rib-eye that’s been delicately marbled and has a delicious full-bodied flavour. With plenty more Argentinian options besides, including several vegetarian dishes, book yourself into Gaucho Richmond in London as soon as possible.
