The only items on the menu at George’s Fish & Souvlaki Bar that aren’t sourced locally from around South Woodford are the Greek Cypriot specialities, for which the team at this award-winning London restaurant had to go to, well, Greece. Whet your appetite with a selection of of classic Greek starter plates from grilled halloumi, tahini and taramosalata, to homemade fish cakes and grilled octopus. Once your buds are in the mood, there’s rather a large selection of sustainably-sourced fish that is so fresh it’s practically still swimming: haddock, rock huss, skate, it’s all here and served with your choice of sauce.
