Gillray's take great care in the quality and taste of their wonderful Aberdeen Angus steaks. They are sourced from the finest English Farms, the cattle enjoy two seasons at grass, succeeded by weeks of heather giving the meat a superior texture and richer flavour. Gillrays' signature dish is a 2.2 pound “Bull’s Head” cut of steak cooked just how you like it. Just a quick 5 minutes from Westminster or Waterloo stations, Gillray's are the go-to location for amazing steaks and a number of sides including Triple Cooked Chips, Bubble and Squeak, Creamed Spinach and Cauliflower Cheese. Oh, and the bar is open until midnight daily.
Before heading the kitchen at Gillray's, chef Gareth Bowen has worked for Michelin starred
restaurants all over the world. Previously he was at the 5 star London Marriott Grosvenor Square
where he was responsible for all aspects of dining including Banqueting by Gordon Ramsay. Gareth
brings over 17 years of experience and works closely with the team to ensure Gillray’s Steakhouse &
Bar delivers an exceptional English dining experience to all guests. He has taken great care in crafting
the menu and source the highest quality produce from across England.
In keeping with James Gillray’s political agenda, Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar is situated in London’s County Hall, across Westminster Bridge from the Houses of Parliament on the banks of the Thames. London County Hall was once the home of the Greater London Council until 1986 when it was dissolved by Parliament. The Council Chambers still remain at the centre of London. Gillrays is part of the London Marriott Hotel County Hall. Enjoy a host of specials like the Autumn Market Menu and other wonderful events and special offers.
The food was very good ! Excellent taste and the staff was also very nice. We will come back for sure to this restaurant.also the view was really nice
Food was nice but very over priced for what you get.Lots of staff but took along time to be noticed, ordered two item 1 was wrong and 1 never received! Drinks were also over priced. Tried to get the meal deal but could not book a table however restaurant was half empty.
My wife’s fish and chips was quite good, however, I had the bone in prime rib & garden salad. The steak was full of gristle and the “bone in” was seven shards of bone ranging from dime size to 2” lengths. It was not a good value. Service was great.
