Have been to Goodmans Mayfair 4 or 5 times over the years. Love the venue; great atmosphere and service. Best chips ever! But I've actually had better quality steak at much lower price elsewhere. The only thing that slightly lets it down but a fairly important thing for a steak restaurant.

Our first visit to Goodman having heard that its an excellent we were disappointed with our table location right next to the main entrance door, so we had a cold draught every time someone entered /exited. wine prices were extortionate, staff really helpful and attentive. steak was superb.

The food in this place is amazing! And staff are very friendly and helpful! The only negative I can say is we don’t appreciate them telling you how much to tip by just adding to the bill! Would rather just tip the person that served us!

I wouldn't call Goodman the best 'value for money' steak in London. I would call it THE BEST steak in London, with outstanding service. Go for the steak, love the sides, and enjoy their fine selection of wine and other drinks.

I took a good friend for the first time after telling him how amazing it is, as I have been coming here for about ten years and it didn't go very well. I will not say any more.

I asked for my steak to be medium they got me a well done steak which I had to wait for 50 minutes and left without having my steak. The restaurant didn’t let me pay for the food and I paid only for drinks.

The US sirloin (medium rare) was a bit tough because of the connective tissue/ligaments. Even with a steak knife it was hard to slice through them. It seems the quality/standard of the meat has dropped. Service remains good.
