Gotto Trattoria London is an independent and family-run Italian eatery located right on the banks of the River Lee in Hackney Wick. As you take a sip of one of Gotta Trattoria’s house blended spritz cocktails and look out onto the river you could be forgiven for thinking that you’re actually in Italy, and not in fact on East Bay Lane in East London. The menu here changes a lot based on what locally-sourced produce is available to the team on the daily, so expect to see lots of inventive dishes popping up alongside hand-rolled pastas using fresh fish, meat, cheeses and seasonal ingredients that make each dish sing. So next time you need a burst of Italian sunshine, head along to Gotto Trattoria!
Excellent experience all round. We had a lot of dishes, all were delicious, especially the prawns. Warm, friendly, attentive staff. Very cool yet relaxed setting. Will defo come back.
It was OK. Lovely well cooked homemade pasta let down by unimaginative and unseasonal sauces. Too much butter. Lack of choice for non-pasta mains. Weren't great with kids.
