Fantastic evening great meal, lovely friendly staff and great entertainment. Couldn’t ask for anything more
Went for a celebration dinner for my girlfriend graduation and the service and food was amazing
A lovely restaurant wiŕh fabulous food and friendly service. They had a separate vegan menu with lots of choices.
We returned to Haven after a long absence and we were delighted with the food, the staff and the lovely big round tables. Great for dining with a group of friends. We will definitely be back soon.
I have dined at this restaurant many many times over the years past 15 years, from Sunday lunches, to birthdays, Christmas dinner or just for a special treat mid week and I can honestly say my family or I cannot fault this restaurant. The service is fantastic. Always a warm welcome when you walk in the door. From the management to the waiting staff everyone is friendly and do an amazing job to ensure your evening is perfect. If its your first visit or your tenth visit the experience is always memorable. My relative is in a wheelchair. The Haven could not be more accommodating for her. Usually she feels really self conscious and uncomfortable eating in restaurants. The Haven she absolutely loves going to eat here and absolutely looks forward to the evening. The staff could not be more helpful with getting in the door to sitting her where she wont get knocked about. This in itself is something you wont find at many places. Then there are the food choices from the starter to the dessert always great dishes to choose from. The hard part is picking which one. I feel the food and drink is very modestly priced for the quality you get and the service you receive. I took a party of nine of my relatives here to celebrate my 50th birthday and every single person walked out the restaurant and commented then and again to me the next day what a fantastic evening they had and how amazed they where at the food. Not a single negative comment out of a whole party which I also found pleasing that our choice to eat here was the right one. Picking a place to eat for a party I think can be difficult to please everyone especially if some of them are fussy eaters. We didn't have a single problem. There are lots of restaurants to choose from in North London but I think this is by far the best and one you should most certainly go and give it a try. I don't think you will be disappointed at all and will more than likely want to go back.
Took my mum for lunch at The Haven yesterday along with several other family members. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Restaurant decor is lovely - very spacious with high ceilings and very pleasant to be in. The food was excellent and my elderly mum (who can be extremely hard to please food-wise) said her dish of calves liver was the best meal she had ever had in a restaurant; that is a huge compliment coming from someone who is so fussy about food. The rest of us also all enjoyed our meals and we felt the food to be of a much higher standard than other restaurants we have been to. The lunch set menu is extremely good value. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be bringing my mum back there soon.
The service was impeccable, from a lovely meter and greeted to everyone else who treated us beautifully. The menu was varied but it would have been welcoming to see some salad starters (there were two as sides) The food was really delicious, although my salmon a tad overlooked and dry, but with a little help from some olive oil, it I,priced. The one thing I was not happy about was paying £2:50 for filtered water which is from their own kitchen. I have a water filter at home and trust me it's not expensive to use. I don't mind paying for proper bottled water, but this was an insult The toilets are rather horrid. Very old fashioned and in need of modernisation. It's ghastly. The whole area does not fit in with the rest of the restaurant Is an important area which has been neglected. All in all, a pleasant evening
Very disappointed with Haven Bistro & Bar, our table was booked for 6pm, when we arrived at 6pm the restaurant was still setting up for the evening and it feel very much like we were an inconvenience. The restaurant become very noisy with a xmas party half way through our booking, it would have been appreciated if the waiting staff had advised us of the group booking or the restaurant contacted us before the day of the booking to let us know. Whilst service was good, both the starters and main course were luke warm, in all honesty I've had better food elsewhere and do not understand why the Haven receives such good reviews.
THE RESTAURANT ITSELF IS LOVELY - VERY SPACIOUS AND AIRY. UNFORTUNATELY THERE WERE A FEW ASPECTS THAT WERE NOT UP TO THE USUAL STANDARD. WE WERE THERE FOR SUNDAY LUNCH - FIRSTLY THE BOARD WITH THE SPECIALS WAS AT THE FAR END AND ONE WAS UNABLE TO VIEW SAME DUE TO THE LARGE FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS COVERING SAME - WE WERE NOT TOLD OF SPECIALS - IE SUNDAY ROASTS. AS WE HAD THE TWO LUNCH SET MENU WE DECIDED TO SKIP STARTER AND HAVE A DESERT - THE WAIT WAS JUST UNDER 1 HOUR TO GET THE MAIN COURSE - WE WERE NOT TOLD POTATOES WERE NOT ACCOMPANYING THE CHICKEN WHEN THE ORDER WAS TAKEN SO HAD TO WAIT AGAIN FOR EXTRA VEG. PLEASE NOTE THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT BUSY SO ALL IN ALL IT WAS A BIT OF A LET DOWN.
The food is amazing and the set menu is such a bargain. But even the normal menu isn’t expensive for the quality that you get. The staff are friendly and attentive and always recognise you and make a point of coming over to say hello. The interior is outstanding and the atmosphere is relaxed. The cocktails are great and to sit in the little bar listening to the singer makes you think you are somewhere abroad.
