Great food, not many diners so couldn’t rate the atmosphere, but will def be back!

Excellent meal and very good service. Only problem was that we booked near the time we planned to eat (30 mins before) and when we arrived we weren’t expected. The staff quickly resolved this.

The food was fantastic, as always! We had the best table in the restaurant, the staff were friendly and very attentive. Would recommend this gem of a place to everyone.

We were led to our reserved table by a friendly waitress who took our order. All of the staff were efficient, caring and helpful. The meals we had were substantial and delicious. We’ve been many times before and will definitely be back.

Could not have been a better venue for a family dinner for eight of us. Far better and varied menu than some of the highly-rated competitors in the Borders, spacious without being canteen-like, modern without losing charm. The seating arrangements minimise noise levels and the two levels give a degree of privacy. This would be a great place for any function and also, with the loch views, for any dining out from dropping in alone for lunch, to a date with a friend, to a business social.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Herges on the Loch. It has a warm and relaxing atmosphere and the waiting staff were attentive and very helpful. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! I hope to return again soon.

The whole experience was very good. The only thing that lets it down is that they serve the sause in squeezy branded bottles rather than putting it in a dish.

The food and service was excellent the background music was just right all in all a lovely eating experience.

Food was yuck and servace was bad would not rexomend

Heard great things about this place so decided to travel to come here. We were disappointed with our meal. Our roast was very poor, probably because we were at the end of the afternoon serving. Made staff aware of this but they were uninterested.
