We have been to the Barge before and had a lovely meal and time. This time we brought friends and were somewhat disappointed. The starters were fine but my partner and I were disappointed by our mains of cod with parsley crust (a tad bland) and I had the seafood boxty which was just okay. One if our friends loved her vegy dish. One friend ordered a steak which was over salted. Waiters were friendly but lifting plates off the table whilst people are eating is a big no no! My partner loved her choc dessert however the baked Alaska was mushy and not baked/crispy on the outside. All in reasonably priced but a lack of selection on the menu, and other issues brought a fairly average experience.

We enjoyed beautiful food, received very friendly service and to top it all, the view from the Barge is wonderful. It's not the first time we've visited nor will it be our last!
