HS&Co. is a relatively new kid on Stratford block that specialises in choice cuts of Irish beef and halal steaks served honest and true. Everything on the menu is cooked on a unique Josper Grill and served in an impressive open kitchen. You can find HSandCo London on High Street, not far at all from Stratford underground and Stratford train station. HS&Co London is one of the only steak restaurants in London where all faiths can eat with complete peace of mind, and that’s because every piece of meat here is halal and no alcohol is served. HSandCo London is a place for everyone and a damn cool place it is as well. The dining space on Stratford’s High Street is decked out stylishly with exposed brick, dark wood and vintage furniture. As well as this, as we mentioned earlier, diners will be entertained by a very impressive open kitchen as they can see and smell their Irish beef being cooked just how they like it on HS&Co.’s Josper Grill – one of few of its kind in the UK.
Onto the food...the halal steaks at HS&Co London are dry-aged for three weeks to achieve maximum flavour and never, ever spoilt with unnecessary marinades. Instead diners will enjoy full meaty flavour with every bite, enhanced only with salt and pepper (sauces are available as a side if you wish). Begin your meal perhaps with a pulled beef slider, a trio of English pies or goats cheese topped with a gorgeous saffron honey, then choose between ribeye, fillet, sirloin or porterhouse. For any Stratford diner that isn’t feeling beefy, HSandCo London also offers dishes like chicken kiev, lamb gigot steak or a satisfying halloumi and falafel burger.
