Il Girasole

Lovely independent Italian restaurant with a great vibe. Food and service was excellent!

This was our first visit to Il Girasole and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu has a good choice of dishes and the food was tasty and well presented. The staff were really nice and the service was good. We will definitely go there again.

Excellent meal again, Mozzarella Tomato and smoky Aubergine puree to share starter, Wife had the Salmon on spinach and I had the steak and roast potatoes with rocket side salad! Unfortunately Alex, Barbara's husband, was not there as unwell. but Barbara and Christine provided the usual friendly welcome and excellent service along with the Chefs. Great local restaurant for good food and service. 10/10

Great food and service, very reasonably priced. Shame it wasn’t busier - at half 7 on a thurs we were the only diners, although I could see the delivery service was doing well.

Great, as always. We love this place, the food and service are always amazing! The menu had changed slightly and my fave dish was gone, but there is always something yummy on the menu!

Fabulous food and excellent service in a lovely, cosy restaurant. The only problem was that the door didn't shut properly, so every time someone came in or went out, I had to get up to close the door to stop the draught.

Beautiful food and great service!! Will certainly return. Highly recommend the pizza's - they're a magnificent size, you see the pizza chef making and preparing before roasting in the traditional pizza oven. The base is incredibly flavorsome and the meat to go with is just fantastically fresh. Also recommend the seafood linguine. The fish tasted incredibly and again the sauce fantastic!!

Really lovely and welcoming enviroment and extremely busy on a Wednesday night. Highly recommend this restaurant. The food was great and very glad we found it.

My first disappointing meal at this restaurant. Usually the food is great, but last night's main course was not so good and the management didn't deal with the situation as well as I would have hoped.

As always, lovely food. Great atmosphere and charming people. They always seem to have time to chat and make you feel at home. And thank you for making my son's birthday special.

Great Italian trattoria with unusual menu choices as well as standard pizza and pasta. Good service and attentive staff. And we got a complimentary limoncello! Really enjoyed it.

Lovely restaurant with authentic Italian food. Unfortunately the food was not quite up to the usual standard due to unexpected staff (main chef?) shortage. Despite this the service was excellent.

The food was spectacular as always. Such a lovely restaurant and the staff are brilliant, always happy to help recommend a wine and know their stuff. I cant stop thinking about the Umbrian Sausage Tortellini with Truffle Sauce we had last night!

Love this place! Great food, good wine, lovely people. I recommend an aperil spritzer to start. The Chianti Classico was lovely with the food. The fritti platter of squid, prawns, and courgettes were tasty. The mussels in white wine and cream gorgeous. Boys had pizzas which were good. I had pappardelle with rabbit ragu which was delicious. The missus had black ink pasta with crab meat. She loved it. Go to Il Girasole!

I took pops here for his birthday 🎉. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and cracking service. Each course was top draw. Win win overall, although I'm still not convinced grappa isn't the bad thing.

delicious slow cooked veal...perfection. melt in the mouth.....as usual, lovely atmosphere, service, and wonderful food. I only wish I had the capacity to eat several main courses! My friends pasta was fabulous!

What a lovely little find. It was a Valentine's Day menu so we had limited options but the food was amazing. The octopus and prawn dishes were delicious. Also the staff were welcoming and attentive. Definitely will be going back.

Food very good, tasty and well cooked. A bit expensive, but it's worth it. Good service, waitress has been very nice with us. Place is also very nice, quiet and with good atmosphere.

The pizza was disappointing, particularly as there is a designated pizza chef. The olives were old and dried up, the tomato sauce sparse and the mozzarella lacked flavour. I'll stick to Pizza Express and will not be recommending Il Girasole to friends!

A very small and welcoming restaurant with regular clientele serving great food, with a great atmosphere, very friendly staff, we will be going back soon.

A true Italian restaurant which is the closest to real Italy you'll find in London - my husbands italian and loves their pizzas - he won't eat them anywhere else. The food is generous, and well priced and the service excellent with friendly staff who are equally passionate about their food - go!!!

This is a great restaurant, food, wines and always welcoming and the farewells usually include a limoncello. The specials are always worth picking but the a la carte is still good.

The food is great, owners very friendly and the atmosphere is always lively. We're very lucky to have this restaurant so close to where we live.

We live just down the road from this lovely neighbourhood trattoria and it took us right back to Italy! The atmosphere was cosy, warm and friendly and both of the wait staff on our table were absolutely lovely. Our meal was delicious - particularly the Tortellini alla norcina!! 5 stars!

The best Italian restaurant outside of Italy. Beautiful food, great menu and wonderful service. Also very reasonably priced. A hidden gem in Wandsworth! Would highly reccomend!
