Delicious food I highly recommend! Service was slow but it was extremely busy so it didn’t surprise us. Nice atmosphere but quite loud so not for you if your expecting a quiet romantic dinner!

Conveniently located not far from the center of Bournemouth, this is an attractive and welcoming Indian restaurant with a lot to offer. Very good food, freshly prepared, although some descriptions do not accurately fit the dish served. The waitstaff was willing to explain dishes and offer whatever you wanted. Very accommodating and efficient. Good dining value.

Fantastic food which was full of flavour we had so much we couldn't eat it all, if you're staying near the Indian ocean restaurant make sure you pop in for a meal you won't regret it

Food good and portions better than average which is reflected in the price. Let down by our specifically ordering one main course without peppers and it came with both red and green peppers. Service otherwise good and menu varied.

Food was nice but very average - a little on the mild side, even for the 'hotter' dishes. The service was extremely slow, but the restaurant was busy so this is to be expected. Good location for visitors as close to local hotels.

Amazing curry for a great price, I had a chicken korma and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The mango chutney here is the best I’ve tried! Great quiet place to spend an evening :)

Food was amazing. Best Indian me and my partner have ever had! Would recommended to everyone and anyone! Service was brilliant too. Definitely would visit again!

Very late in service, the wait time is too long sound 50 mins, felt like left alone even when the restaurant is not full. Food is ok, but could have been better.

Second visit, as good as the first. Food was excellent again and the price is quite reasonable. Not as busy as first visit so was a little quieter this was not a bad thing. Booked online and was greeted at the door.

Had a group meal here party of 7. Service and food was excellent even though it was very busy we didn’t have to wait for meal to arrive. It was so good I am going again now I am back in Bournemouth

Run down, dirty, maintenance works taking place on a Thursday evening - loud banging. Restaurant was cold and Diet Coke was flat. Raised all this with both the waiters and they didn't care. No complimentary drink afterwards no offer for discount - absolute terrible service. Had a wonderful day in Bournemouth but had a rubbish time at this restaurant in the evening! Do not go here. Thank goodness the chef can cook.

We were part of a group of 8 people, the service was great no one had to wait long for their food to arrive. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. We had a great night at the Indian Ocean.

We ate here last week and loved it. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic and the restaurant was clean and vibrant, lovely toilets, a brilliant experience and a and only 3 minutes walk from our hotel. Would totally recommend a visit to this place if you are in Bournemouth.

The food was very good and a great atmosphere as well however they were very busy which unfortunately caused a few mistakes such as forgetting to bring glasses for water, putting chilantro in our food even though we requested it without and so on. All in all a good experience and I would recommend the place.

Lovely restaurant with good food and efficient friendly staff. They even catered for my daughter who thinks a meal out is not complete without chicken nuggets. Great night out.

Restaurant was cold. It has a glass conservatory at the front and clearly can’t heat it properly in cold weather. Lamb in the Shatkora dish was quite tough. Flavours were generally good though and Kulfi for desert was excellent. Overall just average though.

Very good, tasty food (I would recommend the masala dishes), excellent staff we did not feel rushed throughout the meal. The restaurant is perfectly located. When in the area we will return.

We received a warm welcome, the starters and mains were cooked perfectly and were very tasty, and we were served by friendly and helpful waiters. The only minus was the choice of desserts which was so uninteresting we gave it a miss, otherwise we would have chosen one and therefore spent more.

Excellent food as always, great service and nice ambiance . The whole evening was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in our party, we will definitely be returning soon!!

One of the best Indian cuisines we have tried. We go there regularly. Excellent food, wide range of selection, good place & polite staff. Will continue going there.

Very nice and particularly good Vegetarian Masala cooked without potatoes on request. Only slight criticism could be that the service was a little slow although the restaurant was busy (always a good sign). Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Visited the Indian Ocean restaurant to eat before a show at the nearby BIC. Don't be put off by slightly tatty exterior as the food and service were really good. Would visit again and recommend highly.

Very good tasty food cooked perfectly, served by friendly and helpful staff. The only disappointment is the dessert; why don't they have proper Indian desserts instead of the frozen ice they always offer?

Food was fantastic. Customer service however wasn't No smiles from the staff, no one asked if the meal was Ok. The server need to learn how to treat customers. Wouldn't go back because of this.

Service was a bit slow. All the food had too much sugar. The staff were very friendly and accommodating though. Unfortunately, I would not go back again.

Fast and friendly service combined with good food. We had a voucher from a local tourist map that gave 20 percent off and a glass of wine which made a good value meal fantastic value!
