Beautiful views surrounding the restaurant, the food was lovely and fresh especially the fish! Only fault is that it is a little over priced for what it is, but that is expected because of location!

Riverlounge is a very smart restaurant reached via a short spiral staircase from the ground floor of a building in St. Katherine's Dock. The ambience, and service were excellent, I enjoyed my dinner very much, however my wife, and her friend, said that the mashed potato that served as a base for their Guinea fowl was tepid, and that the Guinea fowl MAY not have been cooked sufficiently, as they could see what appeared to be traces of blood under the skin. The potato was replaced by a hotter portion, and they were both okay the next day, so the poultry must have been alright. I would definitely return, if only to admire the polite, efficient, and attractive Moldovan waitress!

We were the first two people there, we accidentally went upstairs when all the staff were having a meal. It was all dealt with in good humour. When we finally arrived, staff remembered us, gave us the best seat by the window and were very knowledgeable about the food, informative and kind throughout the whole dining experience. All of this combined with it being near Christmas so the lights on St Katharine's Dock was a great window-side view! Will definitely return. Thanks.

Hi, we had a nice time in Riverlounge restaurant. Probably the best risotto in London! Wine list- for every taste. We have ordered New Zealand wine which was not easy to find in other restaurants. Big thanks for everything, we will back definitely next time.

Portions too small. Not enough flavour in several dishes. Only real food positive was great chips. Service v good, although felt like focus was on pouring as much wine as possible while waiting for food. Won't be returning :(

This was a lovely little place and I went here with 2 other friends. Excellent atmosphere with nice views overlooking the docks, quite chilled and the service was really good. We ordered from the 2-course set lunch menu which was great value for money. The waiters kept topping up our drinks and checked regularly if everything was ok and we didn't feel rushed at all to leave even though they had closed after lunch service. I'd highly recommend this place!

The location is good, and the food certainly pleasant, but the bill came as a bit of a shock. Happy to pay more if the food justifies it, but sadly this didn't quite manage it: my dining companion's fish dish was small and his dessert was not up to scratch. A bill of over £80 for two courses each, when my companion doesn't even drink alcohol (and I only had a glass), seemed rather steep. I wouldn't go again, but it certainly wasn't awful and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout.

A lovely ambience overlooking St Katherine's Dock, the staff were very friendly and most of all the food was tasty. A lovely evening, a la carte menu.

Beautiful setting, lovely staff and wonderful food. A group of six ladies visited for Saturday lunch, and it was perfect. We weren't rushed in anyway, so there was plenty of time to drink, eat and catch up, exactly what we had wanted. We each left saying that we would return again another day.

We had a lovely evening at The River Lounge. Nice meal and very helpful with changing a sauce re diet. Lighting in restaurant was quite bright and if dimmed would have helped ambience.

Very odd service, mediocre food. However, the restaurant is in a lovely location and the food quality was probably due to the fact we ordered for the set menu. I would recommend ordering a la carte.

Great food, slightly small portions but tastes great if you order enough. (Order sides as the mains don't all come with potato/veg ) and the staff were really friendly. Lovely place.

The menu was a touch fish-heavy but all of the food and service was excellent as is the location. This was my second visit and I would definitely go again for another business lunch.

Enjoyed a lovely anniversary meal with my boyfriend with our table overlooking St Katharine's Dock. The food was delicious, especially the Tiger Prawns with Fisherman's Friend sauce, which was recommended by our waiter.

Wasn't very busy when we were there so didn't get the full effect of the restaurant which was a shame. Lovely location, great layout. There was four of us and the majority of food was lovely. Just one point was the lamb was precooked and sliced and you didn't get a choice of how you would like it. Could have been a lot better. One member of staff didn't understand English that well so we had to keep explaining ourselves.

A couple of the meat items were missing from the menu, but otherwise this was a thoroughly good experience. The ambience was very nice, our waiter from Azerbaijan friendly and attentive, and the food well-cooked and attractively presented. I would be very happy to return there.

Lovely restaurant overlooking the marina at St Katherine Dock - staff were very attentive and the menu although quite a small selection was good. We had the beef which was cooked well.

Tasty food and good service in a friendly way. Nice ambiance although the room a little plain compared to the modernistic feel of the lounge bar next door.

I went on a voucher and noticed people with vouchers were treated differently, no bread was offered compared to those paying full price, and glasses of juice on voucher were half empty compared to those additional we ordered later that came full to the brim. This sort of distinction and discrimination between customers would not make me want to come back in the future regardless of how good the service or food was. Menu we have been presented had only variety of 3 choices for starter and 3 choices for main. Would have been good to be given an option of full menu with extra charge for the difference. Also place needs a hostess by the door as I saw many people wait unnecessarily long before staff noticed them and offered to be seated.

Great location, good food, friendly service. Booking via internet suggested that last sittings were 8.15 but the restaurant was open well after, so we could have come at the later time we wanted.

The restaurant is quite small and cozy, and the initial impression is great. However, at least when I went with my family, both the service and food did not live up to expectations. Although the waitress did apologize for the slow service (apparently due to a new starter), she made no further effort to make up for it. At least a courtesy bread basket would have been a nice gesture. The rest of the service was also fairly poor, with several waiters looking after us and not communicating clearly to each other, several times overlapping or missing out on some service. All this could have been forgiven had the food been great, however it was a fairly poor effort at some high-end Italian. The dishes were fairly bland and there was too much effort into trying to make them special, which in the end fell flat. Not that the food was bad, it just didn't live up to location, the look and feel, or even the fancy names on the menu.

Great small Italian Restaurant. Good for lunch but better for dinner. Waiters are helpful and friendly. Not a "chain" like the others in St Katherine Docks. A little more expensive though.

In terms of location, I don't think there are many restaurants to rival it - tugged away overlooking boats or Tower Bridge, Riverlounge Italian is perfect for a romantic dinner with your better half. It was quite pricey though and portions were not huge.
