About Jashan Indian Cuisine
When Jashan opened its doors in Hong Kong in 2006 it raised the benchmark against which Indian restaurants in the city were judged. The food at Jashan, in Central, is innovative, upmarket and was recently voted the best Indian restaurant in Hong Kong – an endorsement indeed. Renovated in 2011, the restaurant is a chic, modern temple to all the best in Indian food; here is the best food on Hollywood Road and beyond.

Jashan, part of the Uppal Hospitality Group (UHG), was the first Indian restaurant in Hong Kong to appear in the Michelin guide, and the restaurant has only grown in stature since then. The kitchen team are rightly proud of their contemporary Indian food and seek to surprise diners with their innovative takes on classic favourites. For starters we recommend sharing amritsari paneer pakoda (cottage cheese fritters) and aloo tikki chana chat (pan-fried potatoes with chickpeas) with your date to get into the swing of things. When it comes to main courses, you might be well advised to ask for some help from Jashan’s knowledgeable wait staff who are more than pleased to guide diners through this labyrinthine menu. If all else fails, opt for the house specialty – Bombay tawa chicken – you won’t be disappointed. If you somehow still have some room, we recommend trying the gulab jamum (fried dumplings in a sugar reduction and rose water) that are both delicious and beautiful.
There can be no doubt about the scale of ambition in the kitchen and dining room at Hollywood Road’s star restaurant. The kitchen staff at Jashan in Central Hong Kong consistently deliver food worthy of the Michelin guide, but there’s plenty of front-of-house touches that assure diners that Jashan’s world class talents are not restricted to the plate. The dining room is a sumptuously upholstered space, in vivid vermillion and gold, tastefully designed to foster intimacy between diners. Of course, first and foremost Jashan is the home of great food, all accolades aside. Unusually for a restaurant of such serious ambition, there are plenty of promotions and offers here too. Aside from the much admired delivery menu (seriously, you can get this delivered) there’s a lunch and Sunday buffet to allow diners to sample some of everything from Jashan’s celebrated menu. Jashan is open daily.
Excellent food. Friendly helpful service. Very good value. The decor is quirky and comfortable. Mine host is genial and a bit cheeky. Go - you won't regret it!
It was my first visit to this restaurant for a Sunday brunch Buffet. I personally liked the following. 1) Online reservation 2) Food 3) Quality of service 4) Reasonable price for a buffet in Hong Kong Thanks
Excellent service with a wide variety of high quality food. Very good value for the price offered and overall a highly satisfactory and worthwhile experience.
Excellent service and food. The staff are very helpful and make recommendations based on you needs. The food was high quality espically the tandoori fish and chicken. ..
A great evening out with my family. Friendly staff made the evening a good laugh. Service and food were OK but more than anything the restaurant has a good atmosphere and is in a great location. I would definitely return again with my kids.
Good food. Tasty and healthy. Had the buffet in weekday. It is Indian cuisine but very much liked by UK, Taiwan and Hongkong people. This is my second time and will be happy to come again. One request to increase options in desert.
Lovely food and good value for money. May want to add a mixed starter to the menu and look at the bread basket as an increased variety in preparing naan / pratha / roti would add.
Restaurant ambiance is nice. Location is great. Food was average and service was a bit slow. We were served the first few dishes and then had to wait about 30 minutes before the rest came. Not sure why because it wasn't a full house.
Good service and good food. We went there with our 4-year old son. Although it was buffet and we shared food, they didn't charge for our little one. Very conciencious. Will go back again.
Best Indian food I have found in Hong Kong! I will definitely return. Service was good and the aubergine dish was outstanding. A little heavy on the price but, overall, well worth it.
The lunch buffet is very good value. The food I kept well topped up and they also provide additional delicacies to your table. The chef's lamb was particularly delicious. Well worth the money.
The atmosphere was very nice and the servers were all quite friendly. We received our food quickly and it was very, very tasty. We will be returning.
Excellent buffet food, value and service. Will continue to book. We usually go Friday's - always a good busy restaurant. No hesitation in recommending to others.
Had a great table set aside for our booking - excellent and authentic tasting food. The wine was well matched...great night catching up with friends there.
Great value lunch buffet in nice surroundings. Eat as much as you like including desert. And you know it's good Indian food when you see so many Indians eating there!
I recommend this restaurant as one of the better Indian Restaurants in HK. Their lunch package is extremely good value for money, the service is great and the food is authentic. Keep it up Jashan!
Everything was very nice, we would like to come again during our stay in hong kong. thank for amazing food options in hong kong and serving us well.
Great atmosphere and good value. Ask for the table in the back for a little quieter experience if you are six or more people. We will be back.
Great food, good service, moderate ambience. Would recommend as one of the better Indian food experiences in Hong Kong. Better for family and friends than formal entertainment.
We had the free flow brunch buffet. Good service, nice authentic Indian food, very reasonable price. Wish there could be a wider range of snacks offered though.
Nice ambience and food is very good and reasonably priced. Staff are pleasant and attentive. I particularly liked the fish curries and rogan josh. Will definitely return.
Good food and reasonably priced. The restaurant is very good and a great central location. We would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant and will return
Comfortable lightings, excellent food, polite service. Air-conditioning too cold. Seat allocation too near to the doorway despite advance reservation of 1 week ahead for a weekday dinner.
attentive service, decent food with a diverse selection, decent ambiance. likely to visit again for sunday brunch, great deal in the middle of central, on hollywood road.
Very good buffet was enjoyed by all with friendly wait staff and n easy location. Thank you very much for a nice lunch, much enjoyed
Excellent food (try the Spinach Fritters!), friendly service, and comfortable atmosphere. We love Indian food, eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended.
The lunch buffet was great, but unfortunately customer service was not as good and can be a lot better, especially when the restaurant not all that busy.
Fabulous food, great service and friendly atmosphere... Wasn't expecting such a wonderful Indian restaurant in Hong Kong.
Great food. Great. Experiece. Best curryhouse in Ding Dong. Thanks to the great staff!
A nice open buffet Indian which you can enjoy at the heart of Hong Kong!
No good of lunch buffet and not recommend for the next time. Choices of food is less and refill is unsatisfactory even at noon time.
One of the waiters was impolite (the male one) which put a dampener on our evening. The food was fine, the vegetarian dishes were much better than the meat ones.
Good meal, great service. Nice atmosphere, will return as it's nice
Great food, well served and full variety of Indian food
It was a tasty and good. Love to go back again.
