We were greeted very promptly on arrival and were given the choice of where to sit. Sat down and looked at the menu....hmmm not what you would expect. No tikka masala, no balti, in fact nothing you would see on a traditional Indian menu. Ooops, looks like we made a mistake. Never mind we thought, this place has really good reviews so let’s try it out. As it goes the food we ordered was really really nice and I couldn’t fault it. What ruined our experience was the state of the place.... Fruit flies all over the restaurant, on the walls and in our faces. We were constantly batting them away which got got annoying very quickly. The walls are painted a light cream-ish colour and full of greasy hand prints, dirty marks and of course made it easy to spot all the flies. Around the side/back of bar area where we were sitting there is a large bottle of champagne for show purposes which unfortunately was covered in think dust. I decided to swipe my finger across the bar and it was full of dust too. I would imagine that part of the restaurant is left off the cleaning rota. The restaurant got busier and we got forgotten. I could tell you if the restaurant served desserts or coffees because we were never asked. Our empty plates were left with us for much longer then acceptable so we had to get up and ask for bill. We paid, minus the service charge and left feeling overall disappointed with this restaurant experience. A big shame considering the price that’s being charged for the meals. We will not be returning.

Had a bit of a wait for our main, but it was a genuine mistake and the manager gave us a hefty discount which was lovely of him. Also the meal was worth the wait in the end.. proper tasty
