Leytonstone recently got a much-needed injection of Italian hospitality with the addition of La Bella Vita to the High Road’s dining options. This northeastern London trattoria is the real deal, and is already proving popular for its affordable two-course lunch and dinner menus, traditional wood fired oven-baked pizza and quality pasta and risotto. La Bella Vita’s long opening hours (they do breakfasts) are complemented by great private hire capabilities.
We go to this restaurant regularly, never disappointed. Good menu, lots of pizzas, pasta, meat (including some Mediterranean grills) which changes from time to time, very reasonably priced, friendly service.
The food was very tasty and the service brilliant. Great for families. We have two small children and they were made to feel very welcome by the waitress.
La Bella Vita’s High Road premises are a coup for Italian-hungry Leytonstone residents. Convenient to a popular local pub, it’s no wonder that the pizzas are flying out of the oven almost as quickly as the pizzaiolo can spin, top and bake them. At this London E11 Italian restaurant, seafood features prominently: whole sea bream, prepared the traditional way, makes an appearance when the daily catch warrants it, a delicious seafood pizza features on the menu, and the fettuccine salmon is perennially popular.
While La Bella Vita’s pizza is something of a go-to for Leytonstone’s High Road diners, the menu at La Bella Vita is an extensive affair. Start with calamari fritti, perhaps, and a classic Neapolitan pesto salad before attacking the meaty grills, pasta and risotto, and seafood dishes on offer. If you simply must go pizza, why not try the house calzone? La Bella Vita’s calzone alle verdure is a fantastic vegetarian option, stuffed with artichokes, mushrooms, olives, asparagus and baby spinach. Available for private hire, La Bella Vita is indeed a taste of the beautiful Italian life in northeast London.
