Really comfortable and staff was brilliant food excellent will return again very enjoyable
Took 4 friends, 2 of whom had never been before. Everything was perfect, just as it always is!
Been coming here ever since it first opened. Even though there is a lot of competition now its still my favourite place. The new menu is fabulous. I wanted to eat 4 starters as they all sounded so good.
As always, great welcome, great service, amazing food. A restaurant of choice.
We were somewhat disappointed. We booked a table for 14 adults and 4 small children some 3 weeks before the date as a surprise Birthday dinner for our friend and neighbour's 70th Birthday with several couples travelling some distance (Coventry) to be with us Shortly after our online booking we visited the Restaurant to increase the table from 10 to 14 and to ensure they had the correct date and time, We were given copies of both the a-la-carte and set-meal menus and everything was in order. Visiting couples were advised of the prices and most said that they would be ordering from the set menu at £16,95 per head. Imagine our surprise when we arrived at the Restaurant to find that they were holding a "French" menu evening and that we had to order from that at £22.50 per head !! There had been no mention of this before hand, even though the Restaurant had a telephone contact and the online booking agents had an email address, so no excuses there. We have to admit that the food was beautifully cooked and presented but despite waiting for dome time (whilst the meat, fish etc comprising the main course was going cold, no further potatoes or vegetables were served, despite these being listed on the menu sheet. We noted that these were served to an adjacent table whilst we were enjoying our deserts. Some of our party had to be assisted with their bills as they had not budgeted for an extra £12 on two meals. Unfortunately this was not a good experience and if at any time we had been informed that only the "French" menu was available we would have chosen another restaurant. we will have to think long and hard before we book to revisit La Brasserie again .
The food, service, atmosphere and setting was all perfect. When you go out for a meal during the festive period you never know what to expect, but the whole evening was fantastic and I have no hesitation in recommending La Brasserie!
Friendly staff , they made you feel welcome once you enter the door. Very attentive , professional service and serves you with a smile. Good atmosphere, very cosy and nice decorations (very festive). Kudos to the chef too. The food was really good and well worth the money. Portion sizes is very generous and the vegetables are to die for. We really enjoyed our food and The Christmas Menu.
Lovely evening at La Brasserie. Turned up early but not a problem. Staff were very attentive but never intrusive. Food was perfect and the house wine was excellent. Looking forward to returning. Many thanks.
We had the 3 course set menu which includes a small glass of house wine for £17.50. We couldn't fault it. Each course exceeded our expectations. First courses - soup, chicken paté & moules marinière. Second course 2 x beef stifado and steak & ale pie. Third course 2 x lemon posset and one panacotta. All delicious and the service was so good.
6 - The menus should be shown more fully on their website as although there were other customers they were few. The lunch menu was a very good deal but doesn't appear on the website. It is always a better experience when you eat in a busy restaurant. The food was excellent and was too much to finish......
