Fabulous food and service. I would say the large dining room would benefit from some noise-reducing interventions on walls or ceilings. Exhausting to converse when the room is booming.
I had a lovely crepe but my friend who was GF and DF only had one option which was a bit of a shame. Had to ask twice for the bill...but overall I do love this place!
dirty toilet food poor and cold/ ambiance poor very noisy The up side is lovely helpful staff. we will not be going back and do not think it should be rated highly
great place for relaxed inexpensive lunch. why you have to use 25 words to complete this review I don't know - my six words covered it, no?
Delicious food and excellent service in a lovely location. Only down point was the loo which did not match up to the high standards of the rest of the restaurant
Staff was extremely friendly but the food was OK. Also, I booked a table for dinner but it's more like a lunch place. Lastly a lil music would've been nice.
Wonderfully inviting setting with excellent service, genuinely delicious and beautifully prepared plates. Marie and her staff will make you feel welcome and ensure an excellent dining experience.
This is the second time I have visited this restaurant. I find the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The food (even though portions are on the small side) is excellent and has excellent variation. My girlfriend can't eat gluten and we find this restaurant to cater for this excellently.
A delicious meal: I had grilled octopus (firm and crisp, not rubbery) then chickpea pasta (more flavoursome than wheat pasta) with not-too-soggy vegetable ragu; my sister's sweet caramelised tomato tart was balanced with a sharp green salad, and then her goat's cheese and truffle risotto was wonderfully unctuous with the two strong flavours perfectly balanced; my partner had a well-composed frisée salad - the bitter leaves matching the seared foie gras expertly - and though he liked the stuffed rabbit he had for a main, he was ecstatic about the accompanying mash! The one stumble in the menu was dessert: I had an affogato with cornflake ice cream, but to be honest I couldn't taste that at all. The accompanying Florentines were superb, though! Next time I'm in the Bloomsbury / British Museum area, I shall definitely return.
Fab meal, great service ,nice selection of something different on the menu, nice ambience, thoroughly recommended, good value as well and a good selection of wine, thanks a lot
Marie and her staff are incredibly friendly, professional and courteous. The food is a wonderful blend of French and Italian cuisine, balanced perfectly with a well-prepared wine cellar.
Nice atmosphere, staff we're super friendly and the food was great. The price was reasonable also. I would highly recommend to anyone who may be passing by.
Great find. A mix of French and Italian. Original and creative menu. I had homemade chestnut gnocchi which were delicious; something I had never tried before. Good wines and friendly staff. Will definitely be back and recommend to other foodies.
Simple furniture, spacious layout, semi-basement with atmosphere; warm and friendly service; excellent food well-cooked (pasta with wild boar sauce, seafood tagiolini, both beautifully balanced), good wine. And a great location.
Great food, great wine and great service. We had a sharing platter followed by greats mains. We will return to try more of the menu.
Spectacular restaurant, charming service, great food, high quality ingredients. The emhpasis is on high quality ingredients and combining the best of the french and italian cuisine. We have been eating here regularly for two years now and I have never been disappointed. The wine selection is excellent and offers much better value for money than in most restaurants. A real gem.
Food was fantastic, coffee sublime, service first rate. I would definitely go back again. The location is really handy for St P and Kings X stations.
fantastic food! i would highly recommend this place for its fresh and inventive menu and friendly service and casual atmosphere in a light and spacious dining room.
Wonderful meal, great service and a lovely atmosphere. I love how the emphasis is on quality rather than volume. The home-made terrines were particularly good.
Great food, good wine. The restaurant wasn't busy and the music played softly in the background, so we could talk easily. The staff was friendly and we didn't feel rushed at all.
Great food, excellent service and a good choice of wines. The restaurant has a slightly industrial style to it and it works well. Overall a very enjoyable evening.
