Great service, great food and cocktails; I would highly recommend.
Amazing food! Great service we both really enjoyed our meals 👌 would definitely come back
Alisha served us. Amazing service and so lovely. Would recommend.
Beautiful surroundings, great food and such value for money. Will definitely be going again for lunch.
We arrived early for happy hour to have a couple of cocktails, place was quiet when we arrived but quickly filled up, decor and ambience was good and the service very good, this is the second time I've been and with different people on both occasions, we all agree food is very good although in both cases it was limited to the burger, side and pizza part of the menu. Price wise it is good value especially if you take advantage of the happy hour cocktails. Everyone including me from the twice I visited would recommend it and we will be eating there again.
Clearly an extremely busy day in the town due to the Take That concert at Riverside Stadium but we had a booked a table many weeks ahead for that reason. Arriving slightly early for a 5pm booking we waited at the bar with a drink but were not seated until 5.30pm and ordered around 10mins later. Our food did not arrive until around 6.20pm. All of this after prompting staff numerous times. I think to be served at 6.20 from a 5.00 booking is not acceptable. Yes it was busy, but the restaurant should have accounted for this in staffing levels and the number of bookings allowed. A number of tables left without even ordering, and we were so rushed in the end that we couldn’t enjoy our meal, which was actually good and we complemented the kitchen as such. The waitresses and bar did their best without any apparent management, being pulled in every direction and stopped numerous times, by which time the first request was forgotten. The final bill had a small discount applied but really that’s doesn’t compensate for the poor experience which spoiled the start to our evening.
Great food great service but not sure about the way food is presented. Too many little dishes, whatever happened to using just one plate? The guy doing the washing up must be doing overtime. And the online menu has a glaring spelling mistake. Teesside has two s's not one, very shoddy. If you're not sure then remember it with a song to the tune of that pirate song about shrunken sailors and dead men's chests. It goes "T" double "e" double "s" "i" "d" "e". Hope that helps.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was great unfortunately the food wasn't. 3 of the party ordered mushroom stroganoff which when came had no taste and the mushrooms were watery, almost as if they had been frozen. The staff were very good about it but it kind of put a dampener on the evening having to send food back. Dessert of creme brule was also watery and came with digestive biscuits! Also 2 of our party ordered chocolate tart with ice cream, when delivered to our table had cream.
We went early so it wasn't very busy which was good. Between us we had the sharing platter for starters with was really good (not the out the freezer to the fryer type) There was 3 of us but it would have served more. Then we chose the parmo, lamb burger and pulled pork burger all of which were really good. Great choice of side dishes though on this occasion we couldn't manage to try them. Only criticism is that it was a bit cold (the restaurant not the food) but I would imagine when it's busy that wouldn't be an issue.
The food took quite a while to arrive, tables who arrived after us received their food before us. I ordered the lamb kofta kebab with a side order of sweet potato fries. It came with a side order of rice which wasn’t stated on the menu hence why I ordered fries and it was over cooked and very sticky. The pitta bread was over grilled so it was rock hard and the lamb kofta was dry. The rest of the table ordered the trio of pork and the Moroccan lamb. The belly pork wasn’t slow cooked enough so it was just very chewy and too fatty and the morrocan lamb stated it was pulled lamb but it came out as a ‘pulled pork burger’ and two cutlets of lamb. The food was ok enough to not send back but it wasn’t great. We won’t be going back in a hurry.
