Meaning the queen in Italian, La Regina are proud to serve their traditional Italian specialties to hungry visitors and locals, directly opposite Kings Cross station. Featuring two completely separate dining areas, depending on the size of your dinner party and purpose, the restaurant has ample space for enjoying the many traditional options on offer. Open from the early morning until late on London’s Euston Road, La Regina is an ideal spot for lunch or dinner in busy Kings Cross.
There could hardly be a better located Italian restaurant in the centre of London’s hustle and bustle. Situated across from Kings Cross Station, close to St. Pancras International, near Regent’s Canal and Regent’s Park, the area offers convenient transportation connections to the rest of the city. The perfect place to unwind after a day spent sightseeing or shopping, La Regina on Euston Road serves up pizzas, pastas, salads in desserts for reasonable prices in one of London’s best areas.
No matter what time you visit La Regina, you’re sure to be greeted with a smile by one of the restaurant’s friendly staff members, who are as passionate about Italian cuisine as the owners and chefs. Start off with an array of antipasti like pesto bread, bruschetta and calamari fritti (fried calamari) before deciding between a huge selection of pizzas, pastas and mains (feel free to ask your server for a suggestion). We recommend the capricciosa pizza, topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, capers, artichokes and anchovies – it’s a crowd favourite and a seriously satisfying pizza. Very nice atmosphere considering the busy road outside. Prices are reasonable and the menu selection is quite varied. Location is very convenient, with kings cross station just a stone's throw away.
What a great find! A fantastic little restaurant. Really great food and friendly attentive staff. We will definitely visit again the next time we’re in town. Thank you
Absolutely excellent. The restaurant had a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the staff were friendly, polite and efficient. The food was out of this world. A great selection on the menu and what I tasted was divine. Highly recommended and I hope to visit again.
Very tasty food, excellent friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere (plus very reasonable prices). My go to restaurant whenever I've got a train to catch. Never been disappointed. Pizzas are particularly good.
Visited La Regina with a family party of 4, our second visit. The restaurant is a bit noisy, but in a good location opposite Kings Cross. The staff were charming and attentive. The menu offered a wide choice of Italian specialities. The food was very good and served hot and in good time. It is unusual to find such good food within 200 yards of a mainline station.
Good food but the waiter really struggled to understand our instructions.... we had to get his manager over on several occasions to clarify -very simple- matters. Good service at first then it dipped at the end (though the restaurant was half empty) and I had to wave over to be able to order tea & coffee (though we had finished eating about 40 mins prior). I'll be back because it's good value for money and the food itself is good... but that's about it ;)
Really poor service:( waited ages for our order to be taken, we finished eating and plates were left on our table for half an hour, no one asked if we woukd like another drink, 40 mins later had to call waitress to ask for desert menu. One waitress possibly the one in charge kept rolling her eyes at people as if they were bothering her when they asked her something she had no customer service skills at all. We asked to split then bill and waitress could not even calculate it, we had to do it for her. Table next to us waited 20 mins to get the waitress attention to ask for the bill they finally asked, still they waited a further 15 minutes in the end they had to go to the counter to get it themselves! Food was not fantastic but wasn't bad either just ok. A bit more customer service and more staff needed.
I went with my parents and my boyfriend. The food was nice but I was served the wrong dish, not what I ordered. I got the right one in the end but they put both dishes on the bill (both the one I ordered and the one I was wrongly served). They took it off but when we mentioned that we weren’t very happy about it the waitress just said “it wasn’t my fault”. No apology or anything. Would have expected at least that and even a free dessert. Needless to say they didn’t get any tip and I won’t be going there again.
Good little restaurant in an ideal location for rail travellers. Varied choice of good food with very reasonable pricing. Will definitely return to La Regina.
Friendly service, great food. Have walked past this place many times and never thought to go in - it's surprisingly a really nice place though. Will definitely visit again when in the area. Only complaint is that it was really uncomfortable because the bases of the tables are so large that there's nowhere to put your feet!
