Meaning the queen in Italian, La Regina are proud to serve their traditional Italian specialties to hungry visitors and locals, directly opposite Kings Cross station. Featuring two completely separate dining areas, depending on the size of your dinner party and purpose, the restaurant has ample space for enjoying the many traditional options on offer. Open from the early morning until late on London’s Euston Road, La Regina is an ideal spot for lunch or dinner in busy Kings Cross.
There could hardly be a better located Italian restaurant in the centre of London’s hustle and bustle. Situated across from Kings Cross Station, close to St. Pancras International, near Regent’s Canal and Regent’s Park, the area offers convenient transportation connections to the rest of the city. The perfect place to unwind after a day spent sightseeing or shopping, La Regina on Euston Road serves up pizzas, pastas, salads in desserts for reasonable prices in one of London’s best areas.
No matter what time you visit La Regina, you’re sure to be greeted with a smile by one of the restaurant’s friendly staff members, who are as passionate about Italian cuisine as the owners and chefs. Start off with an array of antipasti like pesto bread, bruschetta and calamari fritti (fried calamari) before deciding between a huge selection of pizzas, pastas and mains (feel free to ask your server for a suggestion). We recommend the capricciosa pizza, topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, capers, artichokes and anchovies – it’s a crowd favourite and a seriously satisfying pizza. Very tasty food, that was reasonably priced and friendly service from all the staff - we all had a really nice time and enjoyed our evening.
Another excellent meal with my daughter at La Regina last night. The food and the service are always good and the staff are very welcoming.
Friendly welcome, reservation as requested. Good atmosphere and extensive menu. Sensible priced wine list for London! Service time just right for a social gathering. Will definitely use it again when down in the big smoke.
Had a very pleasant lunch at La Regina. I had the two course special lunch with a drink for just over £14 which was very good value. I had the seafood risotto which had lots of prawns, mussels and calimari in it. My companion had a pizza which was also excellent. Although the website it was advisable to book at lunch time when we arrived at 1.15 p.m. we were the only diners though several other people turned up later. A very useful place to eat near the major stations.
Convenient being a short walk from King’s Cross railway station... spotlessly clean... warm... friendly welcoming staff... quality wine at reasonable (for London) prices... proper Italian pizza (no added sugar like at other chains)... rustic, if slightly undercooked compared with authentic Italian pizza, but this may be because most people prefer a softish base - next time I will ask for a crispier, well done pizza... ample side order of grilled veg... popular with diners as busy by 6pm on a Sunday... selection of oils, parmesan, pepper and salt mills - all clean and presented to the table without asking... quality “Lavazza” coffee for those who appreciate the artisan -style of coffee rather than the milky cheap coffee alternative in paper beakers at chains... for one person, a glass of Italian red wine, a pizza, a side order of veg, and a coffee, all for UNDER £20! Recommended without hesitation, and will return in April... “Thank you” :)
Visited La Regina with a family party of 4, our second visit. The restaurant is a bit noisy, but in a good location opposite Kings Cross. The staff were charming and attentive. The menu offered a wide choice of Italian specialities. The food was very good and served hot and in good time. It is unusual to find such good food within 200 yards of a mainline station.
Our first visit. The staff were most helpful and polite. We had spaghetti bolognaise and meat balls with spaghetti. Both dishes were very tasty and generous - the spaghetti cooked perfectly, al dente. The prices are very reasonable and their house red wine very drinkable. Location ideal as so close to Kings Cross Station and Scala (music venue) where we headed to later.
Good food but the waiter really struggled to understand our instructions.... we had to get his manager over on several occasions to clarify -very simple- matters. Good service at first then it dipped at the end (though the restaurant was half empty) and I had to wave over to be able to order tea & coffee (though we had finished eating about 40 mins prior). I'll be back because it's good value for money and the food itself is good... but that's about it ;)
It was fantastic. Our table wasn’t quite ready but that wasn’t a problem the way the servers dealt with the situation and the way thy made sure we were happy was fantastic. The food was incredible. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the starters were amazing. Thank you for making our stay in London 5*
