About La Taqueria

There are Mexican restaurants and then there is La Taqueria in Belfast. This is not your standard over-guacamoled Tex-Mex fare, at this secluded Castle Street haunt in the centre of Belfast, these are real Mexican tacos made with actual Mexican corn. This restaurant is decked out in the style of a Mexican comida – no plastic sombreros in sight – and as well as tacos, also offers quesadillas, tortas and ceviche of the day. Oh, and the bar is authentic Mexican, too, with margaritas, mezcales, tequilas and Mexican beers doing the rounds nicely. Do yourself a very tasty favour and reserve a table at this Belfast gem today.

More about La Taqueria, Belfast

Belfast’s La Taqueria is a Mexican restaurant you’re certain to fall in love with. From burritos and tacos to quesadillas, margaritas and enchiladas, this city centre hotspot is changing up boring dining routines for the better. Whether you like your food mild, spicy, sweet or sour, La Taqueria on Castle Street has what you’re after. There’s just the right mix of Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican fare, meaning you’ll see plenty of familiar options alongside lesser-known regional dishes.

La Taqueria’s menu begins with entradas to share – think ceviche, guacamole and chips – before leading you to a range of main courses like quesadillas packed with meat and vegetables, tacos stuffed with chorizo, carnitas (crispy confit pork) and bistec con queso (tender steak with melted cheese). But if you think the food is good just you wait until you taste the drinks – their margaritas are among some of the best in Belfast. La Taqueria’s signature Spicy Paloma is a must-try drink featuring Jalapeno-infused tequila, grapefruit, soda and lime, but there are plenty of other choices for guests with milder palates. Don’t wait around and miss out, though. Make sure you book your table ahead of time when planning a visit at La Taqueria in Belfast city centre!
