Overall OK. Good service but food not especially tasty. I would have preferred both the "pancake" and the plate to be hot. Atmosphere was good

Incredible food at a super reasonable price. The staff were so lovely and attentive. It was really relaxed and fun. We went as a big group (8 people) and the service couldn't have been better. Great menu selection (especially if you have anyone at your table that is vegetarian/vegan or glutenfree). Cheap and fantastic drinks menu. Love this place!! Will definitely be back!

This place is a little gem, very friendly staff and great food. The sharing plate is great and very rich. Only recommendation is to go early as it is a tiny place and gets quite noisy as people start flowing.

The restaurant had warm and colourful décor, the food was tasty and the service was good. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian tastes were well covered, and I would happily recommend this restaurant to others.

Excelent food and atmosphere! Great Service, you need to be patient as food is cooked on the order, it will take a while. It's my second visit and would go again whenever in London

We enjoyed our visit to Lalibela on 23rd April - though we were a little disappointed that they were not celebrating St George' Day (given that he is patron saint of Ethiopia as well as England). They were out of St George beer too - a delivery hadn't turned up - but the alternative Ethiopian brew, Amber, turned out to have a picture of George and the Dragon on the label anyway, which pleased me. Lots of fascinating things to look at downstairs and the food was great too. We will come again when next in Tufnell Park!

Excellent restaurant, fabulous dishes on the menu. I used to come in the 90"s and came back last week during a short trip to London, and that's the only things that has not change in London ! which is good ! The cafe is fabulous.

My friend and I had a lovely, relaxed Wednesday dinner at Lalibela. The food and wine were absolutely delicious and the atmosphere with incense and traditional African crafts on display really took us a thousand miles away from rainy London. The waiting staff was friendly although quite laid-back which meant slightly slower service than we're used to, so I would recommend this place for slow dinners in good company (they have great dishes for sharing, too!)

it was a reasonable meal but expensive and didnt like the service charge.l dont normally frequent restaurants that make a service charge out of principle.ln short l have had better meals that have cost less and although the meal was fine it didnt warrant a second apperance

We had a really nice time here. The sour bread (injera) took a little bit of getting used to but it was fun and delicious. We had a platter which was probably the best way to have a little taste of everything. Milk and honey cake for dessert also delicious! Service was very polite and great. Thanks for a fun evening!

Wonderful food, lovely staff and most of the menu is gluten free. Service was a little slow at times, as a family run business I think they might struggle with a lot of covers, but the staff are so nice about everything you don't really notice.

Really tasty food- we had the vegetarian player/njera. Great interiors (rustic, full of African art/Knick Knacks). Service was good, at times a tad slow as the restaurant filled up quickly. As management had recently changed, they were unable to serve alcohol. Overall would highly recommend- we will be back!!

They don't serve alcohol but it still appears in the online and hard copy menu. When questioned, the manager said it was due to new management and the license being recently removed but still stopped us for bringing our own without a good argument. We also waited 55 minutes to get the starters...they pretty much forgot about our order😞. Food was good though

Good food and ambience, service was very attentive. Sadly no mention about suspended license prior to our visit so don't count on wine for the time being. Worth a visit though!

Great food and even better service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant though I must admit that I don't like the smell or smoke of incense so that was a bit of a turn off but the staff moved it once I asked them to do so.

Lovely staff. The food is fresh and seems authentic. It's a difference experience as you eat using sour dough pancakes to scoop up the food with your hand. We had to wait over half an hour for the food. The restaurant did not have a drinks license at present. Pleasant evening.
