Thinking about making a L'Aventure booking?

London has long enjoyed a special relationship with France and French culture, courtesy of the Eurostar in St. Pancras, as well as the city’s huge French population. At L’Aventure in St John’s Wood, just north of the train to the tunnel, this appreciation of French culture finds its natural home. Serving gourmet French food in a formal dining room, diners along Blenheim Terrace are rewarded for their adventurous culinary endeavours at L’Aventure with fine French food, superlative wine, discreet service and fantastic fine dining flourishes in abundance.

Gallic food deals heavily in meat, cream and expensive ingredients. Not a single element is spared in pursuit of excellence inside Blenheim Terrace’s L’Aventure. St John’s Wood diners are treated to a menu of seafood classics: think scallops in saffron cream, mussels in white wine and garlic, traditional escargots as well as duck and chicken prepared with techniques that would pass muster in the finest Parisian restaurants and you’ve got a clear picture of the food here. And while formal dining, especially in London, can be something of a humourless experience, there are dashes of personality on show here too – the delicate creme anglaise and poached meringue are surprisingly salty (and delicious of course) and demonstrate the enviable skill on display in the kitchen. There’s much to be admired and enjoyed at L’Aventure; reservations are recommended.
