About Lazy Hunter

Rustic has become a rusty old word in the language of the London restaurant scene. That’s why we welcome wholeheartedly wholesome attempts to sharpen focus on what rustic cuisine actually means, along with the knives. Lazy Hunter is doing just that down Kentish Town Road, offering ruddy good food and drink heavy on wild-caught and natural ingredients. The dark forest hog’s burger sports roast wild boar and streaky bacon, the Big Woods bangers are apple and cider pork sausages served with sweet potatoes and butternut squash… if this hasn’t got you drooling yet, Lazy Hunter lays on one of Kentish Town’s best brunches. Had a great time, the ambience is really nice. The food is good quality, menu isn't overly complicated. Good service. Will go back again. Thanks

Food is delicious, price not bad. Service excellent, the girls always made sure to check with us if everything was ok. Surely I will come back, maybe for dinner!

I really like this restaurant. Great food, cheap! And good service. The outside seating area is great. Best restaurant in London in my opinion. Well worth a visit.

Amazing staff and very friendly service. Will be visiting again. Amazing brunch menu with fab choices and an outdoor space which is perfect for the summer months!

Nice looking restaurant, slightly more interesting things on the menu than just burger & chips. My partner had the duck breast in a fig & blueberry sauce which he really enjoyed. I ordered the hog served with sliced potatoes, caramelized onions and chilli but was disappointed. The fried belly pork was nicely cooked (not the hog I was expecting) but it was served on dry French fries with fried onions on top and a few slices of chilli scattered about. I ordered the dish as I liked the sound of the sliced potatoes - not a big fan of chips. I left most of them and just ate the belly pork. Service was friendly but a bit slow considering we were the only customers when we arrived, only one person in the kitchen and one serving. But it was a Wednesday evening so I guess they weren't expecting it to be too busy. Overall an average experience, what I ordered did not meet expectations therefore I was disappointed.

Food is fab - I went for dinner with a friend on a Tuesday to make the most of their 2 burgers for £12. Both burgers were delicious, I am gluten and dairy free and I had no problem picking from their menu. The sweet potato fries are also absolutely amazing, and the service is great. Would highly recommend visiting and I will definitely be going again. Another gem to add to Kentish Town's new crown!

After finding them on instagram (don't you just love the powers of social media!), we trekked half way accross London to visit this little gem for sunday brunch and it did not disappoint. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere cozy and relaxed. Although the menu was small, the food was cooked to perfection and rustically presented in pans and on wooden boards. Definitely worth a second visit.

Food was good but service could have been better. We waited for almost 30 minutes before our drinks order was taken and it was empty. When we were given an incorrect side order the waitress insisted that was what was ordered. We had to ask for the bill and half our finished plates were still left on the table when we left. Not impressed tbh so we won't be going back. Pity really because the food itself was tasty and reasonably priced.
