With whitewashed walls and vintage-style furniture, Le Salon Prive is both stylish and sophisticated, offering delectable French cuisine to some of Twickenham and Richmond’s most discerning diners. A little piece of Paris tucked away in the London suburbs, the menu at Le Salon Prive is quintessentially French. Start your meal off with some twice-baked gruyère soufflè with escarole and radish, or Jerusalem artichoke velouté with sautéed girolles. Some of the main course menu dishes include veal served with sweetbreads, shallot puree, sautéed snails and capers, and duck magret with choucroute, montbéliard sausage and preserved cherries.
If there are two things that the French know about they are dessert and wine, and the lengthy dessert menu is a testament to this. Finish with a French favourite like creme brulee and an orange madeleine accompanied by a glass of the recommended wine. Attracting diners from all over London to its Twickenham location, La Salon Prive on Crown Road is a popular choice amongst the city’s gourmands and Francophiles alike. Nice lunch a bit expensive this is too long question for me today so cut it down ok as I am to busy to answer it
The service and food were excellent. My friends and I were short of time as we had theatre tickets, but service was very prompt and courteous.
As usual, the service and food was friendly and efficient. The lunchtime fixed menu is very good value and the quality of the food was excellent..
Excellent food all cooked fresh. A good variety of fish as well as meat dishes. Will definitely be going back for our next special occasion treat.
Salon Privee, sister restaurant of our old favourite Bacco is a wonderful place for dinner Fabulous service, fabulous food. The atmosphere is lovely , wonderful evening!
Lovely restaurant and most enjoyable meal. Fully recommend it. Service was excellent.Food was well presented and very good value. We had the early bird menu. Look forward to our next visit.
It was my birthday lunch, so I was hoping it to be quite special. I wasn't disappointed. The ambience was great and the food and service was impeccable. Will revisit soon.
Very Friendly ambience and delicious food; we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The chef prepared a thoughtful birthday pudding plate of sweets for the celebration.
Lovely atmosphere, very attentive staff and wonderful food, what more to say?! I would recommend this as a super place for lunch or supper, perfect.
The food was exquisite. A real delight for the tastebuds. The restaurant created a super romantic setting for our anniversary. The service was great too.
Great food. Very good service. Only niggle was that restaurant had lots of tiny flies buzzing around that was a bit offputting so they need to do something about that.
Delicious Sunday lunch. Excellent quality produce and generous portions!! Served by friendly and professional staff. Delightful decor, very relaxing ambience. First visit to Salon Privee.
excellent meal in a lovely setting. great service. nice menu and wine list. I recommend this highly for those looking for a nice, romantic restaurant.
excellent meal and friendly service. The Cosmopolitan cocktails are pricey but worth it. Altogether a big improvement on the old Brula which deteriorated awhile ago
Excellent food as s usual . Fine dining in St Margaret's in welcoming surroundings . Try the octopus carpaccio prepared by the chef - super
Great little find in st Margaret's. Had the Sunday brunch menu, great food, great service, great value. Would recommend to anyone. We will come back.
Really nice restaurant , nice good and great service . We went for an express 3 course lunch on a Sunday before a rugby match and it was perfect
This is a very cosy and intimate restaurant with great food and wines and friendly attentive service. The Steak night on Tuesday are very popular. A sophisticated dining experience.
4 of us visited on a Thursday and had the set menu. It was very good and all of us enjoyed it. Food was good and staff very friendly
Nice restaurant, staff attentive. Not the greatest French food I have ever had but it was very pleasant. Not great value for money. We had a nice time but not sure if I would go back.
Main dish was slightly overcooked and not seasoned. We went on New Year's eve, so perhaps the menu did not flatter the restaurant - service was decent, but there were no extra touches, which was a shame given the occasion. Expensive for what it was. Nice location.
Delicious meal, especially the starter of mackerel with pickles. Poussin for main was tasty, but didn't come with any sides. Steak was cooked perfectly and great desserts. Lovely surroundings and will definitely return and recommend.
The food was excellent. We shared the chateaubriand, which was perfect, and the service was impeccable. However the atmosphere was a little flat, reminding us a little of provincial French dining in years gone by.
Very nice, friendly service. Food was excellent. Good value for money, especially the specials. The Chatraubriand was amazing. Highly recommended. Definitely be returning in the near future.
Food cooked and delivered to high standard. Staff take time to talk adding to success of the evening. I would definitely recommend Le Salon Prive to others.
Lovely restaurant and good food. Parking very difficult to find. Service attentive but not excessive so comfortable. Enjoyed our lunch at a reasonable price. Wine good too.
Lovely food and helpful staff. We like the decor and table linen, which adds to the feel and Atmosphere. The prix fixe menu met our needs.
Birthday dinner . The food and service are always good. The staff are also very welcoming . One of our favourite local restaurants in the area
Good local restaurant with nice ambience, friendly manager and above average cuisine - very nice light starter, excellent chateaubriand, average crème Brule. We will certainly return
Brilliant food, service was good and was a very nice evening. I'd say the only down side is its slightly pricey but other than that, great!
We had a wonderful evening. The staff were very professional and attentive. The atmosphere and the decor was lovely. We would definitely go back there again!
This lovely little restaurant never fails to impress . We have visited here on numerous occasions now and the food and service has always been great.
Very enjoyable meal particularly the scallops were perfect. Excellent service. The only negative was the price of the gin and tonic, which I thought was excessive.
Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Menu had a variety of choices. Food was good. Had the rump steak which was tender and flavourful. Well worth it.
We went for the lobster offer but sadly there was no lobster. We had a very nice meal from the set lunch menu anyway. Will ring ahead next time we want lobster.
Great little French restaurant in St Margarets . The food and service are always very good . Nice ambience and great value for money .
Great good and service. A proper French restaurant with an extensive wine list. Relaxed, comfortable, and a pleasurable dining experience. Nice for a special occasion.
Great steaks beautifully cooked, and good value with the mid-week deal. Creme Brule the also excellent. The interior is lovely in an Art Nouvea style
Lovely steak and creme brulee. Only down side is there was a persistent draught from the door. More obvious the longer we sat. Good service.
Food excellent? The service was a bit overwhelmed when we first got there, but got better as the evening progressed. Well worth a second visit.
Lovely atmosphere, impeccable service, great menu and food scrumptious. 'Interesting' music choices...1980s pop! Well priced. Nice to have such a quality establishment in St Margarets.
My food was not very hot; however, the meal was fine. Not such a good experience as when we last went in March 2016. Hopefully will be better next time.
The food was good, but very expensive for what it was. The atmosphere was lacking and the service over-zealous. I feel sorry for the new owners and staff, but this just isn't anywhere near Brula standards, sorry
Food was good but more good bistro quality rather than white tablecloth quality. Atmosphere good and service good but it could be friendlier and more personable.
Lovely food and excellent service. Menu is really reasonably priced, and ambiance very good on a Friday evening.
Arrived for special occasion dinner to encounter the worst service I have had in any restaurant for a number of years. Inattentive, clumsy and untrained staff virtually ignored us all evening. Fodd was of good quality but portions very small.
Poor. Slow service, uninspiring food, very little choice for vegetarians and in places very badly cooked. From the impression given on their website of being fine dining, the reality is very far away from that.
