With whitewashed walls and vintage-style furniture, Le Salon Prive is both stylish and sophisticated, offering delectable French cuisine to some of Twickenham and Richmond’s most discerning diners. A little piece of Paris tucked away in the London suburbs, the menu at Le Salon Prive is quintessentially French. Start your meal off with some twice-baked gruyère soufflè with escarole and radish, or Jerusalem artichoke velouté with sautéed girolles. Some of the main course menu dishes include veal served with sweetbreads, shallot puree, sautéed snails and capers, and duck magret with choucroute, montbéliard sausage and preserved cherries.
If there are two things that the French know about they are dessert and wine, and the lengthy dessert menu is a testament to this. Finish with a French favourite like creme brulee and an orange madeleine accompanied by a glass of the recommended wine. Attracting diners from all over London to its Twickenham location, La Salon Prive on Crown Road is a popular choice amongst the city’s gourmands and Francophiles alike. Fantastic lunch. Knowledgeable, helpful staff. Good menu, great food. Brunch menu suited everyone. Reasonably priced and just brilliant place to lunch and catch up with the family
Very nice place, nicely decorated with simple but good quality tableware and linen, etc. Food was lovely and cooked to perfection. Service was quick but never obtrusive.
We had a a lovely Sunday brunch with excellent and pleasant service. The menu offered a lot of choice so there was something for everyone. Thank you.
Always great food and service at Salon Prive... We will continue to be regulars at our amazing local restaurant ... Staff always friendly and food always excellent
Fantastic service and food. Great team night out. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. We had the 3 courses for £30 offer, great value for money!
Meal was absolutely delicious, service was great couldn't have Sked for a better evening. We eat there about once a month and have never been let down.
Very good but very busy. Good food and service overall. Extensive wine list with plenty of choice. Good food menu with plenty of choice for all tastes.
I have visited this lovely little restaurant on a number of occasions now and its consistently good . Great Sunday lunch this time and as usual , great service . Thank you
Excellent service and very good food in a really nice environment. A little pricey, and one of the two starters was rather ordinary, but otherwise a very enjoyable evening. Will go back.
A very good menu for a Valentine meal. The service is excellent and atmosphere very calm. The fillet steak, sole and pineapple tasty and well prepared.
Had a fantastic night for our anniversary, the food was delicious and the service very friendly. Would definitely return and recommend to our friends and family!
Nice lunch a bit expensive this is too long question for me today so cut it down ok as I am to busy to answer it
Salon Privee, sister restaurant of our old favourite Bacco is a wonderful place for dinner Fabulous service, fabulous food. The atmosphere is lovely , wonderful evening!
Excellent food all cooked fresh. A good variety of fish as well as meat dishes. Will definitely be going back for our next special occasion treat.
As usual, the service and food was friendly and efficient. The lunchtime fixed menu is very good value and the quality of the food was excellent..
The service and food were excellent. My friends and I were short of time as we had theatre tickets, but service was very prompt and courteous.
I have visited this restaurant several times and can recommend it highly. The food is excellent and the service super, polite, but not intrusive, just right.
It was my birthday lunch, so I was hoping it to be quite special. I wasn't disappointed. The ambience was great and the food and service was impeccable. Will revisit soon.
Lovely restaurant and most enjoyable meal. Fully recommend it. Service was excellent.Food was well presented and very good value. We had the early bird menu. Look forward to our next visit.
Great little INDEPENDENT restaurant. The menu du jour is great, good value for such high quality. This is becoming our local and worth the 30 minute train ride from Kingston.
Excellent food as s usual . Fine dining in St Margaret's in welcoming surroundings . Try the octopus carpaccio prepared by the chef - super
Great little find in st Margaret's. Had the Sunday brunch menu, great food, great service, great value. Would recommend to anyone. We will come back.
Lovely atmosphere, very attentive staff and wonderful food, what more to say?! I would recommend this as a super place for lunch or supper, perfect.
Delicious Sunday lunch. Excellent quality produce and generous portions!! Served by friendly and professional staff. Delightful decor, very relaxing ambience. First visit to Salon Privee.
excellent meal and friendly service. The Cosmopolitan cocktails are pricey but worth it. Altogether a big improvement on the old Brula which deteriorated awhile ago
The food was exquisite. A real delight for the tastebuds. The restaurant created a super romantic setting for our anniversary. The service was great too.
Great food. Very good service. Only niggle was that restaurant had lots of tiny flies buzzing around that was a bit offputting so they need to do something about that.
excellent meal in a lovely setting. great service. nice menu and wine list. I recommend this highly for those looking for a nice, romantic restaurant.
Very Friendly ambience and delicious food; we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The chef prepared a thoughtful birthday pudding plate of sweets for the celebration.
Really nice restaurant , nice good and great service . We went for an express 3 course lunch on a Sunday before a rugby match and it was perfect
4 of us visited on a Thursday and had the set menu. It was very good and all of us enjoyed it. Food was good and staff very friendly
This is a very cosy and intimate restaurant with great food and wines and friendly attentive service. The Steak night on Tuesday are very popular. A sophisticated dining experience.
Nice restaurant, staff attentive. Not the greatest French food I have ever had but it was very pleasant. Not great value for money. We had a nice time but not sure if I would go back.
Main dish was slightly overcooked and not seasoned. We went on New Year's eve, so perhaps the menu did not flatter the restaurant - service was decent, but there were no extra touches, which was a shame given the occasion. Expensive for what it was. Nice location.
Delicious meal, especially the starter of mackerel with pickles. Poussin for main was tasty, but didn't come with any sides. Steak was cooked perfectly and great desserts. Lovely surroundings and will definitely return and recommend.
The food was excellent. We shared the chateaubriand, which was perfect, and the service was impeccable. However the atmosphere was a little flat, reminding us a little of provincial French dining in years gone by.
Very nice, friendly service. Food was excellent. Good value for money, especially the specials. The Chatraubriand was amazing. Highly recommended. Definitely be returning in the near future.
Food cooked and delivered to high standard. Staff take time to talk adding to success of the evening. I would definitely recommend Le Salon Prive to others.
Lovely restaurant and good food. Parking very difficult to find. Service attentive but not excessive so comfortable. Enjoyed our lunch at a reasonable price. Wine good too.
Very enjoyable meal particularly the scallops were perfect. Excellent service. The only negative was the price of the gin and tonic, which I thought was excessive.
Birthday dinner . The food and service are always good. The staff are also very welcoming . One of our favourite local restaurants in the area
Good local restaurant with nice ambience, friendly manager and above average cuisine - very nice light starter, excellent chateaubriand, average crème Brule. We will certainly return
Lovely food and helpful staff. We like the decor and table linen, which adds to the feel and Atmosphere. The prix fixe menu met our needs.
This lovely little restaurant never fails to impress . We have visited here on numerous occasions now and the food and service has always been great.
Brilliant food, service was good and was a very nice evening. I'd say the only down side is its slightly pricey but other than that, great!
We had a wonderful evening. The staff were very professional and attentive. The atmosphere and the decor was lovely. We would definitely go back there again!
Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Menu had a variety of choices. Food was good. Had the rump steak which was tender and flavourful. Well worth it.
Had a very enjoyable meal, good food and friendly service. Do not wish to add anything further, but have to in order to reach minimum words.
We went for the lobster offer but sadly there was no lobster. We had a very nice meal from the set lunch menu anyway. Will ring ahead next time we want lobster.
Disappointing experience. The food was very ordinary with very small portions so most of our quests left still hungry. The service was average and not particularly friendly. We felt we had to apologise to our guests for the poor choice of restaurant.
