Would like more choice of Rose, particularly for summer time! The set menu always offers a great selection and I never make it to dessert!
We went to The Lighthouse for a special birthday meal for a very elderly lady. The food and drinks were superb, the staff helpful, welcoming and efficient. The atmosphere was excellent and the restaurant very light and spacious with easy access for less mobile diners. The fixed price lunch was excellent value and delicious too.
We dined there shortly after it opened but for no particular reason did not visit again until today. Excellent lunch and will not leave such a gap again!
The staff we're very friendly the setting elegant and calm and the food was excellent will definitely be going again. Loved the decor and good choices on the menu.
A group of five of us had a really nice celebratory evening at the Light House last night. The food was delicious, good wine, friendly and attentive service.
Had a lovely dinner to celebrate my birthday with five friends. Great food, atmosphere and service, I would recommend the Light House and we will definitely visit again.
I love this restaurant and forgive them for when they are busy and not at their best. My family enjoyed their lunch but I was not as happy with mine but it did not stop me from booking again for the following Sunday. Staff are charming and helpful. The decor is very acceptable and relaxing. I have not hesitation in recommending to others.
Food and ambiance all excellent as always. Prices are not cheap but fair. What upset us at a recent April 2018 lunch visit was the attitude of the waiters: rather severe, brusque and totally unsmiling, as if what a favour they were doing for us. Particularly galling was the loud sound of one waiter discussing her personal life with the chef through the kitchen hatchway.
Food / ambiance generally very good . Crispy duck starter was a piece of duck --- not "shredded" as expected Roast beef , main course -- meat had sinews so a bit difficult to cut However would recommend light House
Service very attentive, food wonderful. However, nobody was there and it is quite pricey. As there is a lot of competition in Wimbledon village, i am not sure I would hurry back. Perhaps in September it might get busier, every restaurant needs ambience.
