An hour wait for food, wrong orders with missing items. Steak which should have been medium was well done and grey. Rude waitress. Unfortunately will not be returning

Lovely food and friendly staff. I forgot to check about wheelchair accessibility, but that's on me. I was able to manage with a little assistance, but I doubt most wheelchair users woukd be able to.

This place is an old favourite of my wife’s family and mine. Now that it is back in the hands of the original owners daughter it is back to the the excellent standard that we were used to. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, lovely atmosphere and all at a reasonable cost. We will be returning soon.

Service, overall, was slow. We were considering a dessert but waited 20mins and gave up. The mussels starter was poor and overpriced, 7 mussels that's £1 each and didn't taste quite right? Service charge added to bill(taxes?), so remember if tipping extras. Pasta main was forgettable. Second try as local, won't be rushing back.

Used to use regularly with previous owners, first time with new. 1 disappointed with menu size 2 I ordered stroganoff which was poor at best! The beef was so tough I eventually gave up and left it. 3 others in the party had a lasagne and a paella which they were happy with. Regards

The food was exceptional and we will be visiting again as we are locals.

My lasagne was piping hot and very tasty. Service was very good, with little waiting time involved. The warm chocolate fudge cake was gorgeous, but my friend had to share it with me because it was such a large portion!

Lovely restaurant and great food. The best calzone I think I have ever had. My wife said her gluten free pizza was excellent. Reasonably priced and we will definitely visit again.

one of the best tasting italian meals i’ve had north of the watford gap! The staff as so brilliant and lovely and attentive and really made the experience so lovely for the whole family. Children were well looked after and treated with kindness.

Waited 40 minutes for food which was average when it came. Toilets upstairs, no good for us with mobility problems. There were only 3 tables with customers, so it was quiet. The young waitress was really lovely. We had coconut mojitos which were pretty tasteless for what they cost. Won't be returning.

We had a lovely evening at La Tavola for Valentine’s night. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the occasion, nice attention to detail, and both regular and special menus available. The food was delicious. And the service so attentive. Thank you team and especially Chloe. We will be back.

My chicken was a bit tuff but the sauce and potato were very tasty, wasn't happy with the starter's a few slices of toast with 3 bottles of various oils to tip onto a plate and mop it up, it's usually eaten with various soft warm bread and dipped into small finger bowls. !!!!! The pudding was also a let down 2 shop bought meringues with awful tasting creamy berry concoction not very nice at all. Unfortunately it was my first and last time we will be visiting

We visited the restaurant as it was my daughters 25th birthday. She had been vegetarian all her life and my self for over 40 years my daughter. My daughters meal was ordered without chicken but when it arrived it had chicken in. The waitress apologised and it was returned for a fresh one to be made sadly this didn't happen the chef had only removed the visible pieces of chicken and return the food. Part way through eating the meal which i had also tasted we found chicken! The front of house staff where wonderful and couldn't apologise enough it spoiled the meal as my daughter wouldn't have anything else as we didn't trust the kitchen. Sadly because of this we won't be returning as it has also led us to question the standards of the kitchen staff thinking that was acceptable. I would like to say again though that the front of house staff were all fabulous
