More about the restaurant: Little Drury

The little sister of the well-established Covent Garden hotspot The Drury Club, Little Drury is the latest passion project from the entrepreneurial Sophie Lobel. This cocktail bar brings a New York speakeasy atmosphere to the heart of London’s West End theatreland down Drury Lane. The focus is of course the bar, where Little Drury’s creative team have their shakers set to stun, but guests here can also enjoy a considered Italian-style tapas menu – making this the perfect venue for after-work drinks, tippling and nibbling before or after the show, or private hire.

Thinking about making a Little Drury booking?

Sophie Lobel’s The Drury Club redefined member-only clubs for a new (and far less stuffy) generation of London’s party set. Now, set above its bigger sister along Covent Garden’s Drury Lane, is Little Drury, offering a more intimate venue where those in pursuit of a little excitement with a cocktail cherry on top can find a similar New York vibe as the club downstairs, but with the added charm of street-side seating and a nicely curated menu of tapas on an Italian tip. Yes, Little Drury may be the smaller sibling, but it steps up to the bar, so to speakeasy, with bags of scruffy charm.

The soundtrack is soul, the setting is all New York loft – Little Drury is a Covent Garden cocktail bar destined to be a choice meeting point between you, good company, and two tight little lists of innovative drinks and Italian-style tapas. The Drury Kiss, for instance, comes highly recommended, consisting as it does of vodka, lychee, raspberry and fresh lime served in a Martini glass – a signature tipple for this Drury Lane venue in the middle of London’s buzzing West End. Indeed, being in the beating heart of theatreland, Little Drury is ideal for a light meal and a glass of fine wine before (or after) the show. Delicious savoury pies – parmigiana melanzane, gateau di patate – and salads, bruschetta, Italian bites and pizzelle, plus sweets, make for a light snack or a complete meal in combination. Book some space for your next foray, whether its for a casual meetup or you’re interested in hosting a private event or celebration.
