Brixton Hill‘s Luanda Grill is a mainstay of the Brixton dining scene for more than two decades. Serving up Portuguese grills and other traditional Portuguese food to Brixton’s hungry masses, Luanda Grill focused on flavoursome dishes in an unfussy environment with attentive, knowledgeable service, that is welcoming above all else. The Luanda Grill is open right through the day offering breakfasts, patisseries, lunches, dinners and a bar service, all with a distinctly Portuguese flair.
The food was excellent and so was the wine, the pumpkin cake was also amazing!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant . . . .
Established in 1991, Brixton Hill’s own homage to Portuguese cooking has firmly imprinted itself on
the area’s collective psyche. Serving flame-grilled Portuguese steaks and meats, as well as a selection
of house specials with a focus on seafood, and great vegetarian options to boot, there is a taste of
Portugal suitable for everyone at Luanda Grill. Blending the best of Portuguese food with influences
From its roots as a family-run business, Luanda Grill is currently run by Julio, who took over with a mandate to improve Luanda Grill. Under Julio stewardship, the Brixton Hill eatery has expanded into The Gallery next door to include a bar, a game room and a garden. You can be in no doubt that the Luanda Grill is a Portuguese restaurant. The walls, ceilings, every surface in fact, is decked out with knick-knacks from Portugal in this relaxed dining room. Come and join the team for Portuguese grills, daily changing specials and a relaxed, family-friendly environment in which to sip wine and sample food from afar.
