Right in the heart of Camden, just steps from Camden Town tube station, Ma Petite Jamaica is one of the great additions to Inverness Street. Factor in the street market, the Electric Ballroom and Camden Lock, there are plenty of reasons to visit this part of North London anyway, of course, but with Ma Petite Jamaica there is one more. Their Caribbean cuisine includes all the favourites, from jerk chicken, rice and peas from the pit barbecue to curried goat, brown stew chicken and fish Escovitch with fried cassava. The drinks menu is suitably strong to boot: Red Stripe, Dragon Stout and Carib from the islands, as well as the huge range of rums that are the staple of any self-respecting Jamaican joint. Alight at Camden Town tube and double back on yourself before hanging a left onto Inverness Street and parking your keister at Ma Petite Jamaica for a Caribbean feed to remember.
Food is great and comes in big portions especially for the price. Great experience nice music . Super friendly staff. I Highly recommend to go.
The restaurant is small, however the staff are very welcoming. The food was excellent and good value for The price paid. Highly recommended will visit again soon
This is my fourth time to Ma Petit Jamaica, they have yet to disappoint me. The food is always really tasty and hot and it doesn't take hours to come. The music is on point as are staff members, they are always polite and efficient. Will definitely be going again.
Great food - very authentic and tasty! Strong cocktails and a very nice chilled/homely vibe. The waitresses were really lovely too and the for the price I will definitely be going again!
The food is excellent - cant fault it. As a West Indian, I can absolutely recommend as the food was very well cooked and authentic but with a twist - due obviously to chef who looked like a serious west Indian no-nonsense cook. The restaurant as its name implies is small but has a nice Caribbean vibe. I was more than satisfied and will be returning with family often. one star lost for waitress service - while not rude the customer care was a bit lacking; no smiles or checking if we were happy with the meal or needed anything (just one of the waitresses) she must have had a long hard day and we all know how that can make you feel. Will definitely visit again and recommend
Would have given a rating of 6 unfortunately waiting time for our food was too long. Staff were very polite even on this one of the busiest evenings of the year, food was excellent and in just the right portions. The only letdown is the time you have to wait for your meal although I couldn't complain as the food was delicious but many people may. Personally I would definitely visit this restaurant again
7 of us had a great time for my son's birthday. Great drinks and lovely food and decent prices. We went in afternoon so only had the set menu but was not disappointed really nice and relaxed. A nice little restaurant with music in background which didn't blast out your conversation. Highly recommend.
The food at this place is fantastic. Really lovely drinks and environment. Sometime service can be a bit slow during busy times, but not so much that I wouldn't return.
It's improved on customer service, however there was a lot on the menu that I originally ordered that they didn't have in stock. Guniess punch, oxtail stew. Only two dessert choices. I mean come on people. Sort it out. Disappointed
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was really nice. Staff lovely would definitely recommend to all my friends and family. One of the best west indian restaurant in the uk.
