Had an absolutely fantastic rib steak between us - genuinely very, very good indeed. Whole dinner experience was enjoyable and exceeded expectations. The only aspect that prevented full marks for service was that the waiter took my plate while I was still chewing my last mouthful, which irritates me a little. But maybe that’s just me...... If you like steak, this restaurant will not disappoint.
Daniel, the waiter, was extremely nice and helpful. He made sure we were happy with our order and with his service that was absolutely outstanding! The food he recommended was delicious. We loved the Basil Panna Cotta dessert.

There’s even an in-house Ligurian bakery and a butchery that you can observe in action from the comfort of your table – needless to say, the aromas wafting around the restaurant are a treat on their own.
Whether you opt for a few small plates, go for a main course or decide on a set menu, the food offering at Macellaio RC’s Exmouth Market location in London’s Clerkenwell will not let you down. We like the rump steak with pears and Modena balsamic vinegar, the pasta trenette with homemade Ligurian pesto and the Sicilian tuna steak served crusted with breadcrumbs, garlic and parsley.
