It’s hard to summarise everything good about Mango, a stylish Latin American bar, club and restaurant in the heart of Sauchiehall Street’s (in)famous stretch towards Charing Cross. Open til the wee hours, Mango is an awesome venue where you can be entertained by any manner of events, from open mic music to fire-breathing performers and Latin American dance classes. Of course this bar and club has plenty of fuel to keep you going, whether a traditional Cuban mojito, Brazilian caipirinha or a Nicaraguan macua, but the most memorable – even if the rest of the night remains hazy – part about Mango is the food. Tapas of tamali or fried cassava, big hearty burgers or hefty mains like oven baked salmon steak with signature mango sauce, pulled pork with fried plantains or vegetarian fajitas, luscious churros or other desserts, you’ll be spoilt for choice at Mango whatever mood you’re in, and it’s definitely the top Sauchiehall spot to fuel up for the rest of the walk to the West End.
Atmosphere and music was very good, staff were friendly, cocktails were reasonably priced. Overall would definitely return!
