Down on Linthurde Road in the town centre of Middlesbrough, adventurous foodies will have a field day at Manjaros, an exciting restaurant fusing together African and Caribbean cuisine. A favourite among local celebrities, Manjaros is full of laidback Caribbean charm, with its beachy decor and palm trees creating a relaxing environment to dine in. Some of the exotic dishes on offer include waka waka chicken (succulent chicken marinated with special spices then flambeed on the grill and smothered in Manjaros’ homemade sauce) and the hotshot half chicken parmesan with chilli flakes, green chillis, onions, red peppers and mushrooms. The fun doesn’t stop at the main course menu either – finish your meal with some Ferrero Rocher cheesecake or a cornflake tart served with hot custard.
Excellent service, beautiful large food potions and reasonable prices. I love it!!!!! The decoration is simple and welcoming. They even had lovely puddings which we loved.
Travelled al the way from bham and was actually impressed with the food. Service food environment deco location absolute perfect. Thanks again for the great service
Quick service, nice food, huge portions, nice atmosphere and did not have to wait very long for a table. Friendly listening staff too. Will definitely go back again soon
we have eaten here twice and we love it, the food, the staff and the portions sizes are mazing we hope to be back soon
The food was nice but me & a friend ordered different dishes& both meals had too much pepper which divoured the flavour. We over heard the people next to us complain about the amount of pepper in their food as well. The service was unpleasant, the waiters were far too relaxed and not attentive. We waited ages to be seen whilst they stood up having a mothers meeting chatting away amongst themselves instead of seeing to the customers. Wouldn't recommend & won't be going back
Lovely food, huge portions and excellent value for money. The only down side was the lack of coffee even though it is on the menu- the staff told us they have never served tea or coffee. It is unlicensed also which is not clearly stated.
Had the nachos they were amazing , such good value for money too . Staff were quick and observant , which meant the food was still so hot when it came out great
I booked a table for husband,s birthday meal we really enjoyed meal ,the food was very good and was served very quickly felt it was a good portion size the menu offered ,good options of choice and reasonable priced ,music was playing in restaurant ,which added to relaxed atmosphere
People have said its like a knock off nandos which is untrue as its so much better, the chips are the exact same as pub chips which I don't like but swapped them for rice and it was perfect
The food and atmosphere was really good. The only downfall was that they cooked the mains at the same time as the starters and tried to bring everything out at the same time. Would have been a 6 otherwise.
