The staff are a credit to McHughs. Nothing was to much and the service was second to none. The meal itself was beautiful and well worth the price. The only minor negative was where we were placed. There was hardly any lighting and it was very dark but apart from that I would strongly recommend Mchughs. P.S. their Guinness has to be tried to be believed 😋

Excellent service and staff very attentive. Freshly cooked and tasty food.

Menu very limited, had looked online and it didnt seem to be the same which was disappointing. Food was just okay on this visit, no veg included with main meal. Not much atmosphere as very quiet for a Saturday night. Wouldn't rush back which is a shame as enjoyed the last few times I had eaten here.

Superb. Food was delicious. Next time we are in Belfast we will definitely go again.

Great service, one of our party was delayed so had to have her meal kept and bought out later and pudding wrapped to go and someone else was gluten free but the staff had not been informed so they had to change her meal. This was all done without a quibble and all staff could not have been nicer!

Excellent what let it down for me was the food was not hot.

The service is excellent & the salmon was gorgeous. Sticky toffee pudding a delicious dessert.

Food, staff and atmosphere were fab. We could have sat all day

Booked table at 5.15 as we needed to be at a concert in SSE arena at 6.30. Meal took ages to come - 8 of us, main course only - one person had fish which wS still frozen in middle. He had to reorder and wait while rest of us finished ours, until he got another dinner. Some other people in our party weren’t happy that meal was warm but not piping hot when came out. Waiter was lovely, but kitchen very slow, food expensive for what it was and not very good. Won’t be back.

A wait of 50 minutes for food is far too long for those who only have 1 hour for lunch

Friendly service great staff, time to enjoy our meal and not rushed between courses. Meal was hot and full of flavour, but the steak dinner could have come with a few baby potatoes to round it of, other than that it was first class

I always recommend McHughs...historic bar and restaurant. Had Dundrum mussels and their signature smoked haddock Boxy and top class wine. Friendly atmosphere and service, tasty food, well priced and opposite my bus stop. Right up my street on all counts.
