There are plenty of Indian restaurants in Kensington – as in every district of London – but few can match Memories of India in terms of location, atmosphere and, most importantly, menu. First up is their location on Gloucester Road in the heart of Kensington: they’re just along from Gloucester Road and Kensington High Street tube station, and thus easily accessible from all over the capital, as well as providing the perfect place for a meal before taking in a show at the Royal Albert Hall or topping off a day at the Natural History Museum, the V&A or Kensington Palace. The atmosphere is traditionally Indian, with a typically rustic decor and a warm welcome, and the menu includes all the favourites. Begin your Memories of India meal with a tandoori starter – seekh kebab or chicken tikka, for example – before indulging in a classic curry or one of their decadent platters: we’d go for the Maharaja Mixed Grill. Book a table now at Memories of India for a Kensington curry house to remember.
We eat here quite often and have never been disappointed!! The food is the best around! It is very quaint inside too and has great service:-)
Nice people, the Indian food is very good. We appreciate a lot this lunch. the service is good and they have a very good list wine.
The resraurant is really nice. The staff was very polite and friendly and most important of all the food was excellent. If you want to have a wonderful Indian meal Memories of India is definately the right place to go to.
The restaurant is nice, waiters are very kind and the food is excellent. One of the best Indian restaurant I have been. I will go back soon!
Always good dinners at Memories of India, staff is super friendly with all dinners and especially with kids, food is consistently delicious and for once we did not over order :)
Even when something is going wrong, they keep a happy face and restore what went wrong. You leave the restaurant with a smile on your face and the food is gorgious!!!
Long wait before getting the table. Very slow service. Waiters relatively rude. Food average. We have been going there for a while. This is the first time we were disappointed. Something has changed. With the huge offer of Indians restaurants in London, this is now out of our list.
