London’s Meridionale Restaurant invites diners to relax in rustic, warm surrounds and celebrate all things Italian. And covering much of southern Italy’s culinary culture with the food, what you see here is the real deal. On New Kings Road in Fulham, fresh, quality ingredients are blended to create authentic Italian fare. Think homemade pasta and Neapolitan pizzas alongside fresh fish and seafood dishes. The team at Meridionale hails from Campania, Sardinia, Calabria and Sicily and are highly passionate and knowledgeable about the food they serve. Starters include deep-fried baby octopus and creamy burrata, while for mains there is Sardinian gnocchetti with free-range sausage, pan-fried sea bass fillet, and slow-cooked lamb shank.
Good service and great food ;) courgette fries + the dip and a pizza. (Only downside, for me: they're music playlist! Top 40 chart pop stuff)
The restaurant was fantastic. Gorgeous fresh pasta. It's our new favourite Italian... (However, they seemed to have not received the reservation via this website - Quandoo - so please check your system as we could easily have been left without a reservation.)
Our second visit in the last few months as we love the taste of their light gluten free pizza bases. The service is very friendly and accommodating.
Fantastic meal. Great atmosphere and delicious homemade pasta. We had the focaccia and seafood starter - definitely one to try if you go here. Highly recommend visiting this little gem!
Offering something homely and inspiring, away from the 'norm' of Italian cuisine in much of Britain, Meridionale draws on the traditions of southern Italian cooking to provide simple but deliciously different pastas, pizzas and other mains - all accompanied by an excellent wine list.
Had a craving for pizza last night. Found this place line. It did not disappoint. We had a lovely aperol spritz followed by some green olives - all fleshy and juicy. Then the main attraction, pizza! I had the calabrese, which features a spicy salami and chilli, it was just the right amount of warming heat. Dough was very flavoursome and a generous but not over the top amount of toppings. Reminded me of pizza from Naples. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Decor was cool too.
If you want to try some real regional Italian food from the south of Italy this is the perfect place. Highly recommended the Scialatielli Meridionale. They also have a kids menu for 5,95£.
We really enjoyed our evening at Meridionale! The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are so nice! Can't wait to go there again! Thank you so much!
Excellent food and service. Great deal with 'early bird' two-for-one offer, Tues-Thurs. The only thing preventing me from giving it full marks is atmosphere (décor), particularly in the rear room, which could be better. Perhaps they just need a few plants and pictures. Also, a bit of bread with pasta dishes would be appreciated. Otherwise, very good; we will be back.
The food is fantastic and all home made with high quality products. It's one of the few Italian restaurants that does proper Italian food. Lately many people have discovered this restaurant and is often fully booked so a booking is worthwhile.
