We booked Mews Thai for my Wife’s birthday. Great tasty food, lovely atmosphere, top service! Will definitely be coming back in the not too distant future.
Best place in Poulton to eat wouldn’t go anywhere else
We booked very late so their system did not know about us, ut they found us a table and we had a super meal. We were with friends who did not know the rstaurant and they were very impressed with rhe set menu for £18.95. Very friendly service too.
Great food and attentive service. We had the banquet for six people. Excellent mix of starters and main dishes. It made my wife's birthday special.
10 out of 10 for the food. Beautifully presented, generous portions and the flavours were clean, fresh and authentic. If there were to be a couple of reccomendations it would be the following (small ones at that): 1) the dark red walls are quite imposing. Using much lighter, neutral shades to the decor would give a brighter, more inviting and relaxing feel. 2) just a little care to be taken on welcoming guests. It wasn't full when we arrived but we were pointed to go upstairs from a distance only to be chased once up there to come back down. When asked if we could stay upstairs they were more than happy to oblige but we were given a cursory point to a table to effectively sit ourselves. I must point out that the waiting staff during the meal were excellent and attentive. I have given a 6 as the recommendations are small and frankly the food was awesome. Consider mor care on welcome and update the decor and this restaurant will be the best in Poulton. We will, for sure, dine here again.
The restaurant was very busy with two large groups in together and to be honest it appeared that the kitchen was struggling.we arrived at 7pm and it was 8:30 before we got our starters ! But, when they did arrive they were very nice.......we had the mixed starter for 3. We then waited another hour before receiving our main courses........but once again the food was very good and we all enjoyed it. They did apologise, but what can you do?? They offered us each a complementary drink and my daughter got a free dessert as it was her birthday. Overall the food was great but the service was really really slow.......
Our first visit to The Mews was fantastic. It was full on a Tuesday night but service was fast and really friendly. The food is so fresh and cooked to order with really good portion sizes. We can't wait to go back - the menu is huge - and there is so much we want to try. Fantastic restaurant that lives up to all the praise
Mews Thai were really welcoming and helpful. Firstly I arrived 2hrs late, having been woefully absent minded when making the reservation and double checking it. They didn't mind, directing me to a table without delay. The staff didn't bother us more often than necessary, which was nice, and the food was absolutely divine. The deep fried king prawns starter couldn't be recommended enough.
Food was good but poorly timed. Starter took ages to arrive and the main meals arrived before we had finished the starter. The waitress who took food orders was VERY pushy, trying to persuade us to buy a bottle of prosecco, extra rice and desserts, I never experienced service like it! However, nobody asked us if we wanted more drinks whilst we were eating, I did manage to get someone's attention and asked them for another beer but rather than asking if anybody else wanted anything they abruptly said 'yes' and walked away. Finally, it was only when we were getting up to leave that we realised they had 'forgotten' to bring us our change which would have given them a very large tip!
Amazing food and the staff coped extremely well when the restaurant was packed out. The mixed starter was to die for and the seafood main has masses of seafood and just the right amount of heat. Will definitely return. The rating below for noise was scored low but I don't think that is a bad thing, I prefer "lively"
A simply amazing restaurant...staff are so friendly and very attentive. Beautiful atmosphere...I love the upstairs part. The food is incredible and so authentic and tasty! We had the trout and panang curry with rice noodles and cocnut rice! Will be returning soon as I will be craving this again in no time! One of my favourite restaurants!
Excellent Thai restaurant.Small but perfectly formed, quite intimate. Tucked down the mews at the side of the church in Poulton. We had the set meal for 4 with just about the best starters we have had, anywhere on the Fylde Coast.Try the pork toast, its fabulous. For mains try the duck and pineapple curry.
We had a lovely relaxing Sunday evening birthday meal at the Mews Thai restaurant in Poulton, Lancashire and I personally will be returning to sample the Thai food delights again, especially the Thai green curry which was excellent. We experienced good food and service in a relaxing Buddhist environment.
Wow! Haven't been for many years as we don't have chance to get out much! Just as superb as we remembered it though! We had the starter to share, green curry which certainly packed a punch, duck with thai & honey sauce and coconut rice, it was delish!
Lovely food and cosy atmosphere at Mews Thai Restaurant. Pleasant staff make it an enjoyable experience to eat at this Restaurant. Will definitely be recommending it to friends.
After being seated on a small table near a toilet we complained and was immediately moved to a better table , the food was lovely and I can recommend the massaman curry , service was great and we had a great evening thank you to the mews Thai restaurant from me and my wife 😄
I love this restaurant we go at least once a week. It serves traditional, tasty thai cuisine. Best thai restaurant in the area. I recommend the spicy beef salad (yum neur), red or green thai curry, honey thai duck, laab gai or sticky ribs.
The restaurant is very pleasant place with very tasteful and artistic décor. The staff are very pleasant and the service excellent. The food is delicious and we were not hurried by staff needing to free up our table. I would recommend friends seeking good Thai food and an enjoyable dining experience.
Booked a table for 7 people at 8.00pm on Friday. We had a great time - as always the food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. This is one of the best restaurants in the area with consistently high standards. It never disappoints.
A first time here but it certainly won't be the last. It has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the staff were very helpful and informative when asked about the dishes .Everything was beautifully presented and well worth the wait .
