About Motown Desserts - Whitechapel
What’s going on at Motown Desserts in Whitechapel? We’ve heard it through the grapevine that there’s this dessert restaurant in East London, and there ain’t no mountain high enough to keep us from getting to there, babe. We were dancing in the streets when they opened at the top of Brick Lane – and frankly, how sweet it is to have a dessert restaurant of their quality in the neighbourhood. Remember, and you can’t hurry love, so head on over: we could eat here all night long and we ain’t too proud to beg, so book a table and just come ‘round here (they’re the one you need). They’ve really got a hold on us, so let’s get it on, Motown Desserts. Follow the tracks of our tears down to Fieldgate Street, and stop in the name of love at Motown Desserts: just reach out - they’ll be there.

Calling out around the world, are you ready for a brand new eat? Summer's here and the time is right for desserts in the streets. It’s an invitation, across the nation down to Motown Desserts in Whitechapel, where they offer sweet treats in which even Stevie Wonder can see the value. They use their location on Fieldgate Street in the heart of East London’s trendiest district to provide sugar pies and honey bunches – as well as juices, milkshakes and smoothies – to all the dentist-denying punters that cross their threshold.
What of these sweeties, then, and they are as numerous as they are nutritionless. Well, that’s a bit harsh – there’s plenty of value to be found in the fruits that populate the smoothies and juices – but if healthy-eating is your goal, then you’re somewhat missing the point of Motown Desserts. The desserts part of their title means ice creams, waffles, cakes, brownies, sundaes and more, along with an ever-changing cast of dishes. Standing in the shadow of Motown on Fieldgate Street in Whitechapel, you’d be silly not to go in. Just remember to book a table ahead of time, lest they get busy.
Motown is a really cute dessert shop with more seating down stairs. The man who greeted us was very friendly and welcoming and let us taste the flavors. The ice cream was to die for! I can't explain how good it was just that it really wakes up the taste buds we will be returning next time we are in the area.
Great desserts, had a variation of drinks, cakes and waffles. Great atmosphere with a homely feeling. Great price fo it all. Would thoroughly recommend for small groups!
