Established over 26 years ago, Muang Thai is well versed when it comes to serving up tasty Thai cuisine to the people of Brighton. Situated on St James’ Street, Muang Thai is a favourite among Kemptown locals. Head on over and tuck into traditional favourites like the tom yum goong (spicy and sour lemongrass prawn soup), massaman nuea (beef in Massaman curry with potatoes, carrots and peanuts) and the ped pa naeng (dry curry roast duck with Thai herbs). Vegetarians will find plenty of choice on the menu too, as well as meat and seafood lovers, making it an ideal choice for when dining as a group. To guarantee a table, making a reservation at Muang Thai in advance is recommended!
This was our second visit to Muang Thai - the food is outstanding, service was quick. Love this place, everyone should give it a try.
Very pleasant surroundings and staff. Waitress not very attentive but this may be due to the layout of the restaurant as we were upstairs. As we were a group of 7 we did enjoy having the area more or less to ourselves. Food beautifully presented. Starter platter excellent. House red wine very good .
Love the food and service - glad we could book online again using Quandoo. The decor is typically time-warp and the food is fresh and tasty and the Tom yum still picks ampuncj
We had a lovely meal with good service. We were happy with the selection available, the quality of the food and our waitress was very helpful.
Nice, almost authentic food but erriing a little on the side of run of the mill. Nothing really stood out. Nice enough service. Whilst not brilliant I would certainly go again.
