For Swindon locals, New Delhi is so much more than a curryhouse – it’s a community hangout spot, an events venue and and a sophisticated retreat from everyday life. Open every day except Sunday inside the town’s recognisable Empire House, New Delhi is where you’ll find the freshest Indian specialities, the most attentive waiters and the loveliest setting, a perfect spot to treat someone you care about to an unforgettable meal. The restaurant’s location couldn’t be better – you’ll find it along Groundwell Road right in the town centre, just moments from Swindon Central Library and Queen’s Park. To begin, enjoy appetisers like samosas, chicken wings or machi amitsari (crispy tilapia fritters), then mosey your way over to mains such as aloo mutter, daal makhni or chicken tikka in a marinade of garlic, Indian spices, ginger and yoghurt. Book ahead and discover your new favourite dish today!
This was my third visit and the staff, as ever, were welcoming, attentive and cheerful. The food is great here with a menu that offers dishes a little different from other 'Indian' restaurants. Try it you'll like it!
