The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere and is very well decorated. The food was served promptly and was very well spiced not too hot not bland. Would definitely go again, the only thing I would suggest is that the staff smile more, (they are friendly though)
Great food and friendly service. Clean and we'll kept restraunt. Catered excellently with our party of 22 and great with the children too :) Would definitely go back again.
We had previously visited the Dilshad (before it's trendy overhaul) twice, midweek, when it was relatively quiet. It has since been very attractively modernised, although the tables are rather close to each other. This time we went on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was not only packed, but there was a steady stream of take-away meals being prepared. As a result we had to wait some considerable time for our food, and when it did arrive most of it was tepid, at best, so we sent it back to be reheated. When it reappeared it was a bit better, but still not hot, which was a shame, as the flavours were really good. Everything was very tasty, without being overly spicy, even the (usually insipid!) mixed vegetable curry. The service was generally good, (although we had difficulty in attracting attention to ask for the bill) and we declined a complimentary drink at the end. We will return as the food was so flavoursome, but will choose a less busy time when hopefully the food will not have been cooling in the kitchen, and when we do not feel like we are so squashed in.
Great food and service. Really nice atmosphere and nothing too much trouble for the waiting team, who were all helpful without being overbearing. Highly recommended
