The British love for fish and chips is widely known, and their appetite for battered fish is almost insatiable. There are dispensaries of deep-fried delights up and down the country, and in North London’s Belsize Park, they are proud of their local option, Oliver’s Fish & Chips on Haverstock Hill. This express restaurant specialises in British-style fish and chips, but their menu goes much further than that, with plenty of Mediterranean dishes to accompany your cod or haddock. Choose from grilled halloumi, Israeli salad and salad Nicoise – or even have your fish battered with matzo meal. Their restaurant is completely kosher – no meats or shellfish in sight – and every Wednesday they go completely gluten-free, so all your party can be catered for. Head on over to Haverstock Hill, either via Belsize Park or Chalk Farm tube stations, and enjoy a British classic.
Personally I think this place does this best fish and chips in London. The atmosphere is very pleasent, staff are friendly and their fish is always fresh.
